I got this for my mother, 81, she watched tv most of day so it had to be comfortable. She says it is! Assembly was kind of easy, first step was hardest, holding one piece up while trying to use alan wrench was challenging, so after 45 min I asks hubby to help.     • Six screws that will make you cry

It’s amazing that you can buy a halfway decent chair for less than $150. The material is pleasant to touch, and it will definitely support over 300 pounds. That said, there are some frustrations. The whole thing comes in ten pieces, including the feet. There’s minimal assembly since most pieces drop into place. Except: There are six screws that hold the basic frame together, attaching a front piece to the two sides. Those screws are a huge pain in the butt. You can even see an edit in the assembly video where they probably needed the guy putting it together to have a moment to cry. It’s very hard to get just the right angle to screw them in. The included Allen wrench works, but it’s awkward and requires a quarter turn each time to get them properly sunk. The rest of the pieces drop into place once those six little bastards are in place. Other negatives: the seat cushion never fully inflated from being vacuum packed enough to properly fit the space at the arms. It’s not enough to return it over. Also, while it absolutely holds my weight when I’m sitting on it, there’s a good bit of side-to-side racking and flexing. I suppose that’s to be expected since most of the pieces just drop into slots and aren’t permanently fixed in place That turned out to be a good thing for me because the door to the room I wanted the chair in wasn’t wide enough to pass it through assembled. It was easy enough to disassemble it, move it into the room and reassemble it in place. Overall, average. A good size and price for a young person in their first apartment, or as a decorative and relatively functional piece in a secondary room, like a guest bedroom. ... show more

I was supposed to receive this chair somewhere between the 22nd and 27th. It was delivered on the 19th. Very happy about that. It took me, a 70 year old woman with mobility issues, about 15 to 20 minutes to put it together. Another very good thing. I read somewhere that since the cushions are vacuum packed it would take about 48 hours for them to expand to their proper size. The corners of the seat cushion are not filling out the casing so I don’t know if it hasn’t expanded properly or if the casing is just a little big. For me, this is not a major issue. The color I got is an ivory with beige Zigzag lines running through it. It actually makes it look like a tweed. In my case, this goes better with my decor. It’s supposed to hold 350 pounds. So if you are a larger person, it should hold you. If you happen to be a smaller person, the chair is large enough to get very cozy in. I have not had a long enough to determine how durable it will be. It seems to be very sturdy. I can say That for me, it is very very comfortable. It wasn't too hard to assemble, comfort could be better but I blame the very very thin seat and back. Decently sized, even I a 6'6 can sit in it with ease and not feel like I'm going to topple. I'm surprised they don't velcro or anything into place, if they were a little thicker it'd be perfect.

Upon my previous review I have had more time to form a better opinion. When I was assembling the chair the very first part of the instruction is where I had trouble. The corner brackets with the hooks that slide onto the screws. Those brackets were bent as the chair arms wanted to lean in like this /\. I had to straighten it with my hands. In completion of assembly the chair seemed a little shaky. I didn’t like the plastic chair legs I wish they were wooden. All in all it a pretty chair it looks nice in my home. Not bad if you are on a budget. I just wouldn’t trust it with a heavier person. ... show more
