  • Fun and easy
Size: 10Pack
The Millefiori glass included with the kit I received is defective. When it is used in a creation, it causes the finished piece to crack and break. I've used it on three pieces so far, two of them have broken in half just from normal handling, the third one has visible cracks so I am sure it will break soon. Aside from that, this microwave kiln makes it fun and easy to make your own fused glass necklace but not quite as easy as it sounds from the listing. Here are a couple of additional things you need to know before starting: 1) The listing says "Fuse glass in your home normal microwave oven". It does not mention that it is NOT RECOMMENDED that you use this (or any) kiln in your everyday microwave. It is highly recommended that you have a second 1100 watt microwave due to fumes, etc. 2) The directions say start at 6 minutes. If you are using an 1100 watt microwave like they recommend, this may be way too long. Start lower and work your way up. You can always re-fire a piece, you cannot un-fire it. I have found that 4 minutes is a good time if I want to retain some of the various shapes or 5 minutes if I want it all melted together. The shorter time is especially important if you are using dichroic glass, it will lose all of its color if it is heated too long. 3) The colors of the provided glasses may change when fired. The light green I received turned bright yellow when fired. The one I thought was orange was actually a dark red. Be aware of this and plan your pieces accordingly. Overall this isn't a bad kit for a beginner but the useless Millefiori glass and the lack of information, especially about a dedicated microwave, prevent me from giving it more than 3 stars. ... show more

  • Perfect Teen Gift
Size: 10Pack
This kiln set is an ideal introduction to fused glass work. We purchased this for our teen as a surprise gift. She loved it. It works exactly as promised and makes lovely jewelry and craft pieces. Please note that you should never use this in a microwave that you use for food. This has provided hours of crafting and gift making. We have had to purchase additional supplies when she has run out, but what a great activity for a teen. ... show more

  • Good buy.
Size: 10Pack
This works very well. Try it out at different times, but difference between 6 minutes and 7 or 8. Can achieve very different effects. I love it.

  • Need to have separate microwave from your food
Size: 10Pack
Love this tiny kiln. Prefect for small pieces but I am using it to test glass compatibility as well as color test tiles. Easy and fast And inexpensive way to go. I don’t have to turn on my bigger kilns for small jobs. Also like making small rounds for flower centers

  • Cracked after 9 uses 😡
Size: 10Pack
The kiln SEEMED like a good idea. I've done enough research to know they crack eventually. But after only nine uses (probably started even earlier - I thought it was the glass cracking)? And not only that, but the millefiore really is, as another reviewer said, useless. Hubby and I have yet to have a single piece that come out properly from this kiln, in spite of following the instructions to a T, and getting tips from online, adjusting firing times, etc. I'm not happy. 🤨 We've spent so much on buying glass, I'll probably buy another microwave kiln, but it'll definitely be from a different manufacturer. Something this expensive should last longer. ... show more

  • Great deal!
Size: 10Pack
Great deal! Be careful with the kiln after heating, don’t place directly on the microwave turntable plate! It will break glass turntables! I learned the hard way! It does an excellent job tho!
