Ok, so I am actually really using this to trim the long thick hair of my dogs feet. I have a lab mix & a husky/Australian shepherd mix. We groom at home mostly. The lab just needs an occasional hair trim so I can really see her toes-she is skiddish & will jerk. This is safe for her. No accidental cutting. Of course both dogs think they need the same things. The husky mix has MUCH thicker, denser, & longer hair. I take my time & he seems ticklish & will initially jump a bit, but settles down & enjoys the pampering & attention. This trimmer is small, low price, but actually very powerful. It trims nose and ears very effectively compared to the curcular models. The trimmer also works for longer hair. I used it for the sideburn and eyebrows. The built-in light is great to help for controlling hair length. The angle of the trimmer head is also appropriate. I believe it is a good purchase. I have been using It for one week and I recognize It’s a good trimmer “at least for now “ but honestly, I don’t like the flashlight, Instead helping me , It makes more difficult to cut my hair.

Had these in the past that eventually wore out or broke. This new one has some improvements, such as a real push button on/off switch and a twist lock battery holder. Hope this one lasts a while like the others.
