This was a Christmas gift for my son. He spent hours putting it together and then it didn’t work. We charged the battery, tried replacing the remote AA batteries, no luck. It smelt like burnt plastic, like the wires inside overheated somehow when we initially connected the wires. I offered to exchange it but after all the work it took to put it together, my son is not interested and just really disappointed. (So am I for a toy that cost me over $50) Update: great customer service. The seller responded to my issue and offered to replace or refund me. Update: the seller eventually reached out to us and offered a refund or replacement. We opted for the replacement as my son was still very much interested in the toy. He is now in the process of building the new one. Thanks to the seller for reaching out to make things right. I will submit another update if there are any issues with the second set. My son got all the way near the end of building this robot only to find a piece was missing. Unfortunately, the discrepancy is built right into the manual. The parts list states there are only 2 “seven hole” pieces, and only two were included in the set. However, 3 different steps require this piece, which means you end up with a partially built toy with no way to finish it. I will gladly update this review if the seller will send us another 7 hole piece! ... show more
