The 925 sterling silver is very shiny and because it's solid and not hollow, sits well around the neck, but because of the thinness sometimes wont sit flat. I purchased the 22" "average men lenth," and it is a bit shorter than I expected. If you are looking for a longer chain maybe try the next size up. I definitely recommend this product!
