  • Good for stereo installation in old car
Style: Cable Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This Metra 40-UV43 Y-connector, combined with a Scosche MDAB Antenna Adapter Tip, enabled me to connect both antenna cables on my old Lexus SUV to the single antenna input on the new Pioneer nav/stereo head unit I recently installed. My only minor nit is I wish this adapter was smaller/shorter, as there is very little room behind the head unit for excess cabling. But, I shoved it into a little nook and it appears to be working well for improved radio reception using both front & rear antenna inputs. ... show more

  • AM - FM antenna splitter w/std 1-Motorla male connector and 2-Motorla female connectors
Style: Cable Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This item use to be common place and could be bought at any auto parts store or Radio Shack, but now none of these places carry this product and the sale person in Radio Shack gave me a blank look and tried to sell me a phone. oh well. I find this product very useful for connecting a amplified car radio antenna and the built in car antenna together for superior reception on my radio. This is a easy project, you pull the radio out and on the back you will find your antenna wire, carefully pull it out of the radio and plug it into one of the 2 female plugs on your antenna splitter cable, mount the amplified antenna (this can also be bought from Amazon at a good price) and plug the cable into the other female cable of your antenna splitter cable. Now for the last 2 steps hook the power wire from the amplified antenna to the power cable of your radio (the side that turns off with the key) now plug the male end of the antenna splitter into the back of the radio where you pull of built in car antenna cable from. Carefully put the radio back in the dash and your done. This is a very good product and you will enjoy doing this project. This product was originally intended to connect 2 antennas on the back of a car in the 50's and 60's. Good luck and enjoy. ... show more

  • The solution for after-market receivers in 4th Gen 4Runners
Style: Cable Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
I purchased this to allow for full-use of the 2 antenna's built into my 2008 4runner, which I upgraded with a Kenwood Excelon after-market receiver. This easy-to-install product was the solution needed to more fully utilize the full antenna capabilities of my vehicle! PLEASE NOTE: to use this in a 4th Gen 4Runner, you'll also need the "SCOSCHE MDAB 1988-05 GM Micro/Delco Antenna Adapter; Tip only" adapter. ... show more

  • Worked perfect for my aftermarket radio
Style: Cable Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Installed an aftermarket android head unit and needed this to match the car's factory antennae lines. It was a simple plug and play job, no instructions or soldering required, and it works perfectly.

  • Could it be smaller?
Style: Cable Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
It works great. Really good quality. The angles of the junctions make it perhaps a little less space efficient inside the dashboard than would be ideal.

  • Don't expect miracles, but expect results.
Style: Cable Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
Pros: 2 Antenna connection, Length Cons: Not tight fit for some male antenna. Purchased this to use on a Subaru as there isn't an antenna, besides only a window antenna, on vehicle. The female connectors are a bit large and the male antenna connections I am using slip a little. I have noticed if I twist and hold cord on male connections that reception does get better. As soon as I let go and try to place item, reception gets weaker. It does do the job, but it could possibly be better. ... show more

  • Didn’t work for me
Style: Cable Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
My Land Cruiser had an aftermarket radio and previous owner only hooked up one antenna. I was hoping this would improve my reception allowing me to use both. Sadly it didn’t. I can’t say it’s all the adapters fault since there are other variables in my application.

  • works as advertised
Style: Cable Product Packaging: Standard Packaging
This cable adapter consists of two female motorola inputs mated to one male output, and is suitable for connecting two antennas to a car radio with one standard motorola-type input. The cable is well made, and works well. Total length of the adapter is about 18 inches; I agree with other reviewers that the cable could be made shorter. I am unhappy with the shipping; it cost me over $12 for shipping from the US to Canada, and took two weeks. Contrast that with purchases made from retailers in China, which offer free shipping and arrive in as little as 10 days. Amazon needs to find a much better shipping solution. ... show more
