Metolius Contact Board::Our most deluxe training board with an amazing variety of holds and ergonomic, variable-width pinches. The hold selection includes 11 pockets (2, 3, and 4 fingers - from tips to 2nd joint), 4 central edges, top mounted jugs, and both rounded and flat slopers. It is ergonomically curved to reduce joint stress and the possibility of injury. The Contact has a fine- grained texture that is skin friendly. Comes with a training guide, comprehensive instructions, and mounting hardware.

When the board arrived, it smelled very strongly (new plastic smell), and was covered with some kind of sticky stuff all over. Combined with the smell, I almost wondered if the plastic wasn't fully cured somehow. Packaging was wrapped in paper (so, + star for plastic-free packaging), and just so you know how sticky it really was, the paper stuck and tore when I removed it. So, not quite glue, but not just a tacky surface either. I tried washing with soap and water, and also alcohol, but it wouldn't really come off. A wax of some kind maybe? It seemed OK structurally, so I went ahead and installed it. After having it up for a few weeks, the smell seems to be gone, and it only has the sticky residue on the holds I don't use often, and it seems to work fine. ... show more

bought it more for fun and grip strength then anything, i have been pleasantly surprised with the results. I am relativly strong at 6 foot 180lbs, body weight wise, being able to perform 17 strict form pullups (not chinups) before purchasing this training board. after two weeks of use i can perform over twenty pullups and can nail a one armed. really rips the forarms if you put in a little work. pull ups are alot more fun and rewarding on the board then a standard doorway pull up bar. I think it looks awesome in the living room, the wife... not so much. Happy climbing. ... show more

Solid contact hand hold board. I try to use this board every day alternating between hangs and pull-ups every other day. Has made a world of difference in my hand strength over the last few months.

There isn't a lot to be reviewed here, the board is exactly like it is described on the product page. That being said, I really do prefer this to other boards I have used at gyms and at friends homes. The sloped top, and curved wings give it a few extra grips that a lot of the others seem to leave out. I'm definitely happy with this purchase, and would choose this board again.l ... show more
