  • this has good reviews?
The media could not be loaded. I can't believe this has good reviews! maybe mine is defective, but It barely works! the stem feels very fragile, and the BBs don’t feed most of the time. It even jammed a lot when I first got it. I would suggest spending 3 or 4 dollars more on a better brand. I returned mine, and got the exact same thing that works perfectly for 60¢ more ... show more

  • Unfortunately does not work with airsoft gun
Our son used his birthday money to buy this to use with the airsoft gun that he purchased and it honestly takes longer to use this product than hand loading the bbs into the gun. Do not buy this product. Even though it is inexpensive, it DOES NOT WORK. They do not authorize returns so this is going into the landfill because unfortunately it isn't nothing less than garbage. Our son so desperately wanted this to work and after watching him struggle we counted out bbs and literally timed how long it took to load by hand vs this "speed loader" and by hand is faster and MUCH less frustrating. Save your money and our landfills and don't by this garbage ... show more

  • You get what you pay for, but it does work.
Ok two things to start off; I've only had it for a day, and this is my first speed loader so I don't have anything to compare it too. First impressions though, I'm not real impressed with this thing. Obviously this one is pretty cheap so maybe that's the main problem, it could also be the clip I'm trying to use it with, I have a Double Eagle M21 1911. I've modified the little adapter some to fit tightly on top of the mag and after some trial and error it is almost working like I had hoped, but the overall construction is really quite flimsy. The .2 gram bbs I'm using jam up inside the hopper often, so it's not really very speedy, and if you try to shove then out with some force in the plunger (which flexes as lot, be careful not to snap it off) the whole thing actually starts to separate a bit at the seems because there's only two tiny screws down the middle holding it together! I imagine if you had something like a high cap mag that you pretty much just dump the bbs into then this would work much better for you, without any resistance in front of the pellets I'm sure the plunger wouldn't feel so sketchy and plastic wouldn't be forcing itself apart either. I'm going to stick with it and make it work, but I might recommend shopping around a bit more before getting this one for yourself. ... show more

  • Works great
Just works. Does exactly as expected. A little 'graunchy' on the action, but works well. Just fill it up, release the fill lever, give it a little shake, and then shoot 5-6 at once into the clip. SO much easier and faster than 1 at a time. No, it doesn't attach to the clip, you just hold it there, so, that would be an improvement perhaps - but having it just open-ended means it will work with any design clip I'm guessing. Cuts down reload time at least 10x - you just do two pumps and most clips are full. ... show more

  • Doesn't work with my gun
Bought it because Amazon recommended it to go with the firepower 45 pistol I bought. they also recommended Premier Ammo 12g. Those bbs jam up, won't work at all with them. The gun came with some larger bbs, may be 20g I'm not sure, they don't get jammed up but there is no way to mate the loader up with my magazine for it to work well. faster and easier to load it by hand. It may work with other guns and ammo, I don't know. Amazon shouldn't recommend buying items together that won't work together. ... show more

  • Work with it.
This item, which is cheaply made, flimsy, and mass produced, can still benefit from some backyard tweaking. First up is the adapter, which is ill-fitting, prone to movement - and in my case complete detachment, which resulted in errant BBs' bouncing everywhere. Fix this by using modeling glue to permanently attach this adapter to the body of the speed loader. Once this adapter is secure and acting as one with the loader, your speed loading will increase in efficiency. Second, for the adapter to be able to slide over the the magazine port (mine is a mag for the HFC Mac 11), I sanded down the insides of the adapter, where they come in contact with the magazine. (You might do this first, if necessary, before gluing it to the speed loader, to minimize the intrusion of sanding dust.) This will lessen the chance of the adapter splitting because of excessive spreading of the flanges, when pushed over the magazine port. Finally, when loading, you will notice a "sweet spot", where BBs seem to suddenly load without resistance. Find this sweet spot right off the bat, by holding the speed loader gently rather than firmly, thus allowing you to find the natural angle and the least resistance to loading. Again, this item is cheaply made and inexpensive. But work with it, doing your best to make it work - and it should work for you. ... show more

  • You get what you pay for.
It's not bad, it works, but not perfectly, I have had some trouble getting the BBs to go into the mags a few times and a few times where the mechanics inside jam up a little and it can sometimes eject BBs before they go into a magazine. But beyond that, it's far far superior to jamming 6mm spheres one at a time into a magazine with a heavy spring and will save you fingers and time. The little tip comes separate from the loader and only slips on over the end the BBs come out of but it doesn't stay on too well, relying on a pair of plastic hooks that look prone to breakage. I solved this by super gluing it on and it seems to work just fine all the same I would caution you to be careful where you apply it and to not use too much as you could end up jamming the opening or the insides up and ruining it. It's easy to load with a little flip open door at the bottom near the plunger, just flip it open and pour them in and you're set to go. A neat little feature is the ability to lock the plunger down keeping it safe, the mechanism on mine is a bit loose and can pop out accidentally but it's never really been an issue as it fits perfectly into one of my pistol mag pouches even with the tip permanently glued on. All in all it's a good cheap buy, it's under ten bucks and it will quickly earn a place in your heart as one of your "Do not forget" pieces of gear, if you're a pistol enthusiast or just have terrible aim, this little gadget will help cut back on the tedious task of thumbing BBs into a tiny tiny opening. ... show more
