The label recommends dry cleaning, but you can machine wash and iron. It is very hard to iron the wrinkles out after washing. I set the iron the polyester setting but it didn't get the wrinkles out so I set it to linen and after repeated passes the wrinkles finally started coming out. The blend of fabric reads, 80% cotton and 20% polyester. It seems like the other way around to me. The cotton part must be the string at the neck opening. This runs a bit small in size. I'm 5'7", 165 lbs. 44" chest, athletic build and I generally wear a large. This was a bit tight with no stretch. I should have heeded the advice of others and ordered a size up. I bought it for a Gypsy costume and I would have sent it back for a larger size but there was no time so I made do with it. ... show more

People say order bigger. I did and it was way too big. I’m 6’, 180 (kinda slim). I returned the XL and got an L. Fits much better. To be honest, it’s a little more feminine than the picture looks, but it works for my Yacht Rock look in my band.

Simple advice: the dude in the picture is probably 5’10” tall, .04% body fat and he’s probably wearing the 5XL. Now for the backstory: bought this cause I loved the print and style, but figured for the price, I’d be safe and get the largest size they have. I normally wear a 3xl tall, and since this doesn’t come in a tall, I figured with a 5xl I’d be swimming in it, after a wash should probably fit perfectly. THIS IS A EUROPEAN CUT SHIRT, and a small European at that. I could barely get this over my chest and it barely came all the way down my tummy. Granted, I’m a bit chubby, but again I really figured the extra room would be for height alone especially after a shrink in the wash. If you want a visual, I am the exact size and shape of most NFL lineman. 6’5” and 320lbs. Muscle covered with a little chub lol. Now, they suggest “if you want a loose fit you should select one size up”. Which is laughable, since I went two sizes up and this thing was fitting like a compression shirt. It was so laughable in fact I had to look for the tag to make sure they actually sent a 5xl because I would swear it was a 2xl. Needless to say though, it was indeed a 5xl so got my return going. Disappointed and no great lose, but def want to warn anyone over 6’ OR you aren’t a jacked fitness coach, probably should just forget this. ... show more

I guess if you want to pretend to be a serf in medieval england or a pirate, this is a good thing to buy. The drawstring thing is the set piece accessory that... tightens the v-neck by making it look dumb in the process. lol. i think i got a large and it feels like im wearing a dress almost. it has one of those weird feelings of a dress-shirt that doesn't really feel comfortable in a casual context. i think the drawstrings being a different color than the shirt itself is distracting and annoys me. ... show more

This is strike #2 for Amazon…happening more than often. Problem #1 Received a different shirt then what I selected for purchase. Problem #2 It’s to damn small, tag says 4X but fits like a 2X. Problem #3 “Made In China”….Not the 1st time I got screwed by Amazon. I’m done buying foreign made crap on Amazon. Positive note; The shirt quality is good, light material, and perfect for those hot summer days. I’m a big boy, so this isn’t going to work for me. If your a slim Jim, purchase 2 sizes larger and be expected to get something other than what you ordered. ... show more

I normally wear a large or extra large depending on the shirt. Based on reviews, I ordered a 5x. Now, it's definitely not snug, but this is where you have to decide how you want to wear this shirt. If you wear it while plundering and pillaging as a pirate, you may want it loose so it doesn't interfere with your sword swinging or dagger thrusting. However, if you are galivanting on the town, spending that hard earned stolen gold, you may want a more snug fit. For beach wear, after you have buried the treasure and are hitting the rum, you might want a loose fit. With that all said, I am going to order another one but will get the 4x just so it's not quite as loose. I like the shirt, but the sizing is insane. If you wear a 2x large you better order a 20 x large! The measurements must be based upon infants!
