These images are comparing this jacket to the vintage one, the vintage one being the lighter grey. I originally bought the original one on eBay for a Steve Harrington cosplay. It’s too big for me, so I figured I’d try one of these. The “grey” color is too dark in my opinion, I’m most likely going to return it for a “light grey” one. Overall very nice jacket, it’s made of thicker material than the original. It’s tighter around the armpits and waist. Great jacket. I was looking for a casual jacket to wear to work over my button-up and polo shirts. This jacket is perfect for Michigan spring (30-50F). I ordered the navy blue color, as the black was more expensive. The jacket has some degree of water resistance as I splashed some beer on it and the droplets beaded up. Regarding the fit, I am 6' 175lb. slim build. I ordered a medium and it was PERFECT. I have read many reviews saying to order a size up. Do NOT order a size up unless you are overweight. This jacket is a classic, and many people love to keep with the same type of clothing that they purchased in their youth. I bought this as a gift for my dad that purchase his first jacket about 40 years ago. When he was a young man, his coat was only listed as an XL, and it fits him very well. After years of wear, it is time to retire his old jacket and get him a new one. I ordered this jacket, and I got it in size his old coat sated as XL, but only to find that the measurements are off and the jacket was too small for him. Luckily for me, I could return it with Amazon Prime membership and get the larger XXL jacket. The XXL is about the right size for the size, and it matches the old jacket. Buyers should be aware that the jacket does run about one size too small. With comparing the two jackets, the one from 40 years ago is very similar, and I noticed a few improvements with the stitching. Overall quality of the jacket is nice. Better than a typical windbreaker and warmer too. Fit is slim. I wear med tshirts and this jacket fits similar. Has two pockets in front, one on chest, and one inside. I'm 6'0 135lbs and have added a photo for reference.

Amazing gift for my fiancé. He wanted one of these for forever now. He was looking over the official Members Only site and told me they were on sale at $75 from the usual $100. I told him to let me check amazon first (a regular saying in our household lol). I was amazed at the price and thought there was no way it was authentic but the reviews were all positive! My fiancé is a small man, 5’7” and 115 lbs soaking wet so he always wants everything in a size Small. All of the reviews warned about sizing and it seemed like we would need a Medium, so that’s what I went with. As soon as he opened it he was skeptical about the size but it was a perfect fit! It’s a lighter jacket, perfect for our wishy-washy weather here in Nashville, he’s been getting a lot of wear out of it already. The only odd thing is that there was some sort of residue/debris on the inside of the jacket. He was wearing a white shirt when he first tried it on, and it left black dustings on the shirt. A cycle through the wash took care of that though, so I assume it’s just something from laying around before being ordered. It didn’t bother us enough to take off a star.     • Ran Small for Me: Recommend Going Up One Size if Long Arms or Tall Sized
Size: X-Large Color: Grey
First off, ignore the statements that "if you think these run small, you're crazy" or "if you think these run normal, you're crazy." These reviewers are either trolls or blissfully ignorant. Very few individuals have a textbook body type or size. And as anyone who's cross-shopped brands knows, the same nominal size varies between manufacturers - even within product lines. Size charts are handy guidelines for gauging relative fit within a manufacturer's clothing line, not so much for comparing across different manufacturers. This is why clothes fit people differently and one reason for brand preferences. I first bought a size L, but exchanged it for an XL which fit my body type much better. (For reference I'm 6'2", 195 lb., slim/average build with a small belly. Suit size: 42L. Dress shirt size: 16.5 x 36. Pants size: 33/34" waist with 34" length. Normally a size L fits my torso well, but with some manufacturers I must go to a tall size or XL to gain sleeve and body length.) I ordered a Large based on the size chart and Amazon's suggestion. Being a slim fit, the body was snug as-expected, but the jacket was also too short to cover my belt and the sleeves felt more like a 35 or one of those 35/36 split-the-difference half-sizes. With my arms by my side, the cuffs barely reached my wrists. When I extended my arms forward and outward (like riding a bike or motorcycle), not only did the sleeves creep up over 3" but the jacket hem rose several inches above my waist. Since MO doesn't carry tall in my size, I returned it and bought an XL. The size ratings I gave Amazon are based on the recommended vs. actual size I ended up keeping.) The Extra-Large fit me much better, more like the models in the listing photos. The sleeves felt more like a legitimate 36", fit was excellent across the shoulders and the body was long enough to cover my belt. Looking again at the size chart, I feel it's inaccurate. For example, the Large I bought initially was supposed to accommodate a 20/5" (20.5?) neck, 48" chest and 45" waist. As snug as it was on my 42L frame with a 33/34" waist, I cannot fathom how it would fit someone with a chest and waist that much larger. Notes: the Large I ordered initially had the zipper pull on the LEFT - different than the zipper on anything I've ever owned. However, the size XL I ordered had the pull on the normal RIGHT side. I don't if this was a function of quality control, different sub-suppliers, etc. The left-hand inner pocket was large enough to comfortably hold an iPhone 6S. It does not have a snap or Velcro closure, if that matters to you. Sizing Recommendations: Ideally you want to try on different sizes, but since these are online purchases I first recommend searching through reviews to see what size worked for someone with the same - or similar - build to yours. Failing that, if you are slender with a regular (i.e., not tall) build, try the size recommended in the chart. If you either A) have long arms or torso or tend toward tall sizes or B) aren't especially slim - I'd buy a size larger. If both A & B apply, I might even go up two sizes. You may have to buy and return a few different sizes to find the right one. Overall I liked the jacket: material and stitching quality seem good, the zipper worked well and the light lining was perfect for dancing at an 80s-theme Halloween party in 60ish degree temperatures. ... show more
