  • Love it
Color: Purple
I really like this drill. Just like the majority of you on here I bet you are comparing and contrasting every drill on Amazon. I bought this one first and I'm so happy with it. I have not had any problems like anybody else has mentioned but I obviously take care of my product and I take care of my cord. I like this drill because I can use it with my dust collector in bed. I can move it to another room. I can take it anywhere with me and it still works amazing. It's easy to hold and lightweight. I don't want to lose quality or performance just because something is portable or cheaper. Now, I did also buy the MelodySusie 30000 rpm Professional Nail Drill-Scarlet after this one just to compare and contrast. I figured that if I loved the pink one so much that the scarlet version was going to be even better. I love that one too and I do feel like that one is a little bit stronger. But it's not at all portable. It has to be on a table and it has the rounded spiral cord. So I can only use the scarlet drill if I'm sitting at a table desk or chair. But I can use this pink drill anywhere I want and it does just as good of a job. I don't even think one is necessarily worth it over the other... possibly the Scarlet one would hold up better if you are doing clients so that's the only thing I would take into account. But if this is for personal or family use I still will say I don't necessarily think one is better than the other. The only thing about this product that does bother me is that the whole on top for the bits. I don't like that it doesn't unlock and lock because I feel like over time eventually that whole on top is going to get loose. I'm not sure what is holding the bits in place when you push them down but they are held very good. I've never had a problem with it. But I do wonder how that is going to last over time. All in all this is worth it and I really am enjoying the melody Susie products. I did buy the better bits to go with this. I bought the Melody Suzie gold ones. I was so scared by people saying these died on them by the third time or it stopped working after a month. I literally went through every drill on Amazon and read every single review. I even did some outside research on YouTube and other channels. So not only did I love this drill but I loved it so much and trust this company now to buy a second one. When I had an issue with a set of bits that I bought they went actually beyond what I was expecting them to help me with. I'm mean I hope that let's say 6 months down the road if there's a problem with the drill that Melody Suzie would try and help me. You never really know. I would just register your product with them online or if yours comes with a warranty postcard (You know, those little tiny pieces of paper that we're supposed to mail back but we never do. I even think I threw mine away.) All I can say is they actually went beyond what I was expecting when they helped me with the bits I didn't like. I can't promise you they would do the same with the you and the drills but all I can tell you is both of my drills are working amazing. I have used them every single day for probably 3 hours a day on and off. I am quarantined so I have nothing better to do than to practice nails. Looking back I wasted a lot of my time reading every review and trying to hopefully get something that worked (and wasn't terrible like a Walmart nail drill). It's always those five bad reviews that scare the crap out of you. And again, I want to make sure that I say you have to have good bits. I do not use the bits that come with the product. I use the sanding one only. I did use the bits that came with it first and they got the job done but I don't think they're good. Get another set of bits from Melody Susie All of them I think are under 15 or 20 bucks and they will last you a long time. They have ceramic and titanium I think. If either of my drills have an issue or something happens you can trust that I would come back here and update my review. Right now I am telling you that you can stop reading all the reviews and just get this drill (or the big silver slightly stronger one if you want). And if you're reading this later down the line and I haven't updated this, then they are still working great. ... show more

  • Great Pricepoint!
Color: Purple
If you're looking to buy your first efile, there's some things to consider first, so you don't feel duped by buying this. It's actually a pretty good buy for the price, you just have to know a few things first! ♡ Know Your Bits! This drill comes with diamond bits which are the closer to the softer side of the spectrum when it comes to the level of coarseness in drill bits. Diamond bits are soft enough for cuticle and sensitive area work. If you bought this to sand off gel polish, diamond bits can do that if you're using moderate rotations per minute (medium rmps) and they're well made, though I'm not completely sure they won't soften them. If you want to sand off acrylic or polygel like I did, the sanding bands included didn't work for that, and those products are too hard for diamond bits and sanding bands, so think of what your main purpose for buying this drill is, and get yourself bits that fit your needs. I liked the bits included, as well as the sanding bands, but I needed more variety in diamond bits, so 8 bought a set here for less than $10. I'd reccomend getting ceramic bits for sanding off polish and to practice heavier work because you have no idea how easy it is to overfile or hurt yourself with any drill as a beginner! It's not a death sentence, just like anything, you need practice! Try ceramic and safety bits, then work your way up to carbide, and educate yourself on the color coding system for bit coarseness, and maybe some bit rings to help you choose what to buy and stop dust from eventually breaking your drill! These bits worked well for me! Especially since most of the time I use it to clean up my cuticle areas when my nails start to grow out and the edges of my nail are jagged and catching on things. They were gentle enough to clean me up without damaging my nail beds, cuticles and sidewalls! ♡ This Thing Is Powerful! The range of rotations per minute on this drill are pretty powerful for the price! If it shuts off momentarily while you're using it, it's because of the pressure you're using, not because it's faulty. That's a safety precaution related to the rpm speed in well made drills so you don't hurt yourself by pressing too hard! If you can't do a particular something with this drill, it might not be the drill itself, but your bit selection and RPM speed. For instance, I couldn't get top coat and polish off with a diamond bit or sanding band on relatively moderate or high rpms, but I could do it with a ceramic bit on moderate rpms. This drill has plenty power in it and I love that you can adjust it with a wheel, you just have to be learn how much power you need, and what bit fits your task. A sanding band on low isnt getting off topcoat, let alone polygel, so that kind of decision isn't the drill's fault lol. Just gotta learn a little! ♡ It's Not Noisy Even though it's powerful, it's not loud. It might feel loud if you're not use to the sound, but I find it pretty standard. It does tend to kind of shake and is harder to control when the rpms are pretty high, but I don't usually need it to be all the way up, so that wasn't a deal breaker for me. Anything other than as high as it could go didn't cause that shake for me, so medium and low are my sweet spots. ♡ Isnt Usb But Still Good This drill doesn't have a usb charger, just the cord directly attached to the drill. I wish it did so that if I ever had just a cord issue, I wouldn't have to buy another drill, but that's personal preference. Plenty appliances I have without usb chargers work just fine, even years later, so that's not a deal breaker for the price, in my opinion. Try it out! An extra $10 - $20 could get you a more rounded bit selection, but this is a wonderful drill that doesn't break the bank! Great for beginners and powerful enough for a novice or expert! ... show more

  • 5years use
Color: Purple
I bought this drill 5 years ago ago and it’s finally going out. The only reason it’s barely working now is because side I wasn’t paying attention and I stepped on and cracked the power bank. But it worked perfectly fine before then. I would buy it again but I want to upgrade and get something newer. Otherwise I’m satisfied. But it’s perfect for a beginner. ... show more

  • Worked very well for thick fungal nails.
Color: Purple
I've never used a nail file in my life. Let alone and electric nail drill. I tried this because I have thick fungal nails. This product worked very well. It took some time especially because I was being careful. I was worried I'd hurt my nail. The process was nearly painless. I did go a bit into the skin a couple of times but the pain was minimal. I'm sure future uses will be much faster. Overall, I'd definitely to someone with similar issues. It beats paying a podiatrist especially when you can do it at home at your convenience. I haven't seen my nails so thin and flat in years. ... show more
