I was hesitant to buy since it had few reviews, but decided to go for it. As a 220lb guy I got the heavy duty just in case. I've been having really awful back pain and felt like my mattress was done for. This turned that around! The first night was difficult getting adjusted to the new firmness of my bed. But trust that you get adjusted after a few nights. It's doing wonderfully to hold my bed, and you really do feel a big difference in your mattress. It was easy to install as well. They were out of the King size so I ordered the two twin XL. The only difference is it is 1 inch shorter and in my case it fit my bed frame perfectly. This has made a huge difference in the comfort of the bed frame. I used it with the IKEA Nordli storage bed. Much more firm and no sagging. I also don’t expect to have any more broken slats since the weight is more evenly distributed over the whole frame. 10/10 ... show more

    • Well-Built--Worth Every Penny and Then Some
We have a king bed, and for the king, this comes as two separate pieces (head and foot halves), that are each folded into thirds. You unfold each half and then snug them up end-to-end to cover the entire frame. Size is true, pieces are square, and they snug up nicely. This is not a frame covered in fabric, it's solid boards covered in fabric, so there's nowhere for the mattress to sag if you get one of these. It costs a bit more than I wanted to pay, but after receiving this, I honestly don't know that I could make this for what I paid. It's well-made. If you have 1/2" plywood under your bed, this is at least as stiff, doesn't move, doesn't slide, and doesn't give you slivers if you try to move it without gloves. In other words, if you're planning on using plywood, just get this, and you'll always have it as long as you have a bed the same size. To be clear, this is something you will keep. SIDE NOTE: If you have a hybrid memory foam/spring mattress and it's not as comfortable as you thought it would be, and you have a base that isn't solid all the way across, I would try one of these. I thought our last setup was good enough (with narrow gaps between slats), but it wasn't. I don't know if the springs get skewed or whatever, but our mattress is noticeably more comfortable with this as the base. ... show more

for reference, I have regular metal bedframe, purchased from amazon, listed no boxspring needed, which was true, I didn't need one but over time I could the mattress would sag more and more, it's an older mattress so i knew it was the 100% the mattress,not the frame, the frame is great, i love it, and instead of buying a new mattress I would try it a bunkie board. Exactly what I needed to replace an old 4" box spring that made our new mattress too high. I put these boards on top of a 1.5" metal slat frame and was still able to knock off more than 2" of bed height and maintain quiet and solid support. Very easy assembly. Provides great support for the hybrid mattress and does not cause the mattress to slide. Also very light weight compared to a plywood platform which is very heavy AND expensive. Couldn’t be more pleased.👍🏻

See pics. The "holes" they claim to allow airflow only punch through one side of the material. They will not give you any air flow. The pic they advertise with the holes is false advertising, they look HUGE. Look at the difference between what they advertise as hole size and what you get, it's outrageous. They don't even state the hole size anywhere on the page. And it isn't even a hole as the other side is closed! Each nonexistent hole is only ONE CENTIMETER. It is a bunkie board without any airflow whatsoever, buyer beware. ... show more
