  • Pretty awesome PSU
Size: 1300W Style: MEG Ai1300P PCIE5
As a user of the MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIE5, I’ve found it to be a reliable and high-performing power supply unit (PSU). Its 1300W power capacity is way more than enough for my PC build, and the fact that it’s fully compliant with the ATX 3.0 specification gives me confidence in its future-proof design. One of the standout features of the MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 is its 12VHPWR connector, which can deliver up to 600W. This has been particularly useful for my high-performance graphics card. The PSU’s performance has been consistent and reliable, its extremely quiet. The modular design of the MEG Ai1300P PCIE5 is sleek and well thought out, making cable management a breeze. The variety of high-quality cables included with the PSU is also a nice touch. The cables were easy to manage and route. In conclusion, I’m very satisfied with the MSI MEG Ai1300P PCIE5. Its impressive performance, ATX 3.0 compliance, and future-proof design make it a worthwhile investment for any enthusiast PC builder. I would highly recommend it to others. This should last me a very very long time. 10/10 would buy again. ... show more

  • Powerful, quiet and efficient
Size: 1300W Style: MEG Ai1300P PCIE5
This is a high quality product from MSI. The main drawback reviews and other owners seem to mention is the fan noise, but from my experience this isn't an issue under real world operating conditions. My system with a Ryzen 7600X and a 4090 draws ~670 watts while running GPU + CPU torture tests and the fan did not turn on until the unit reached almost 70C, and at that under 900RPM which wasn't really audible over my other components running at full tilt. This is an extremely unrealistic operating condition as well, while gaming you'll rarely exceed 500 watts and the fan will literally never turn on. In short, it's a none issue. My biggest problem with the unit was the cables, especially 12VHPWR connector, which doesn't really seem to "click" into my 4090. It's fully seated all the way, but its only held in by tension and could be pulled out just by the cable bending. It's also not individually wrapped like the other cables which seems like an oversight. The monitoring software is actually decent, and at least if its your only MSI product, doesn't seem very intrusive. It shows you your PSU stats and lets you control the fan and rails, not much else. Would recommend installing for owners of this PSU as it is nice to know the total power usage of my PC. ... show more

  • Quiet & Sturdy
Size: 1300W Style: MEG Ai1300P PCIE5
I recently purchased this unit for a new build. Admittedly, I overdid it a bit with its 1300W power rating, but I wanted to future proof my system for add-ons. As the title suggests, this beast is both quite & sturdy, and I am very pleased by this. Compared to my previous system, I realize now how quietly my new build runs. Granted, I am using SSDs versus HDDs, and my case fans and AIO cooling system fans run quietly. Still, considering the power supply's wattage, its internal fan runs very quietly. Sure, I have not had an opportunity yet to stress test my system, but I do not anticipate any noise-related issues with the power supply unit. The power supply is well worth the purchase, but here are couple of recommendations. First, the swappable side plates are cute but with respect unnecessary. The power supply is enclosed in my case, and I almost never look at it. So, if the manufacturing costs (molding, plates, etc.) can be reduced to lower the unit's price, then MSI may wish to consider this. Second, it seems like the unit's real estate could have been used more effectively by spreading the various ports further apart from one another to make it easier to cable/de-cable the unit. Honestly, my two 'criticisms' are minor points. I give this unit a big thumbs up! ... show more

  • Unlucky

I got this PSU to pair with my new upgraded parts. Asus 4090, Ryzen 7950, MSI MEG Godlike MB It’s a nice look but nothing to wow over. My main issue is that the PSU is faulty, The provided 12hp cable for the 4090 doesn’t provide enough power to allow the gpu to boot. After getting a VGA error, I thought the GPU was at fault. Paid $60 to overnight to Asus. They test it and everything works with no issue. When I got it back, still didn’t work with the 12hp cable. So I proceeded to hook it back up to the converter that comes with the unit. Hook up all four 8pin connectors, plug in the converter connection to the gpu and it boots with no issue. Now I’m getting a constant red light on the MB. Serval reason why this could happen but I decided to swap back in my Evga 1000w Gold psu and the light goes away. Be careful when hooking your PSU. This ended frying my CPU, which I thought my MB was fried and went through a series of RMA’s just to narrow down that the PSU was the issue. I spent about $4500 in PC upgrades just for this PSU to make it a nightmare. One other thing that is a bit annoying is that none of the wires are sleeved. So if you’re not trying to add rgb to your psu connection, by yourself some selves or just go with another PSU. ... show more

  • High quality, powerful & future proof

I like how the cables are all braided and feel very high quality the power supply itself is not very large but has no issues powering my equipment in fact I rarely go above 600 w in the MSI center you can see all of the info for the power supply Plus you can adjust the fan speed as well there are two more badges that are removable and magnetic from the power supply they're both the dragon emblem this is a very nice addition to my MEG themed PC I am running a MEG x570 UNIFY along with a MAG C360 AIO cooler,13 fans 12-120s 1-140 I am running a MSI RX7900 XTX GAMING CLASSIC TRIO 4X8G of TRIDENT Z NEO RGB, 3-M.2 1TB storage and a HYTE Y70 CASE. No issues powering no complaints strong enough and future proof with the addition of the 12 volt high power rail... ... show more
