I had some great, really old, Cape Cod towels with clams, fish and lobsters on them. I used them every day for several years (for bread baking, hand drying, counter wiping, etc.) until I finally realized they had become embarrassingly tired... I went for the 4 pack, seemed like a better deal. I was concerned that this would push instead of drying, and I was wrong. They do dry perfectly well. About the look of the them, my wife liked them so much, she wants to buy more and give them as gifts! She also wants to use them for bread and decorative stuff... Absolutely love these towels! They're large enough to sandwich a dinner plate and dry both sides, easily absorb water, and don't leave streaks or specks of lint! I was hesitant to buy these towels based on reviews that said they weren't absorbent, but was pleasantly surprised to find that's not the case at all. It was important to me to find eco-friendly towels, and these do the trick - no plastic package, just a ribbon and recycled card, just like it's pictured. Just make sure you don't wash your towels with dryer sheets and they should stay absorbent for a long time! ... show more

The dish towels looked great when I received them. I decided to wash them before using. The dish towels looked horrible when I took them out of the dryer. All the ends were wrinkled up. In order to look nice they would have to be ironed and I'm certainly not going to do that to dish towels. Not something I would want to keep on my counter top. ... show more

They pill (? Where the stitched edge gets curly) after a wash, so expect shrinkage. They look wrinkled and disheveled 100% of the time. (Who irons their dish towels). The absorbency leaves something to be desired. The only thing going for them is the color scheme. I'd add pictures but I don't have that option. ... show more

These dish towels are the best I’ve ever purchased and I buy a lot of dish towels. Because they are made from recycled materials they have a very nice rustic natural look about them. Even if they get a couple of tea stains, it doesn’t ruin the overall look because they are already sort of weathered looking. I was afraid they wouldn’t be very absorbent because it’s a bit of a rough weave, but I was pleasantly surprised. They dry all my pots and pans and still clean up the wine glasses without any spots! Even my husband is impressed. They don’t shrink in the wash, they are nice and big. I bought two sets of these towels with different patterns and they look nice together. Quick summary: Great colors, soft blue denim and creamy white Good absorbency! Doesn’t push water around. Nice texture, not too thick or thin. 4 different patterns. My longer review: I purchased these right before Christmas because my current kitchen towels were atrocious and embarrassing. I put these to the test arriving Christmas Eve. I prewashed them and didn’t love how they came out so wrinkled on the edges, they weren’t gonna hang pretty like the advertised photos (unless I iron them). We worked them hard for Christmas day, drying dishes and crystal for 12 people, wiping up spills and all the counters. They did fantastic. Didn’t push water around. After drying about 15 dishes, it did start to push the water around, but that would be expected. They held up pretty well and I will probably order another set of 4. Time will tell how they hold up in the long run. ... show more

I love these towels. I have owned many different type of absorbent towels non which have been as good as these. I love that they aren’t super thick but still do the job. After drying dishes it doesn’t take too long for these towels go dry which means they aren’t sopping wet when I’m ready to use them again. We do not use our dishwasher (personal preference) so we rely heavily on good drying towels. These look cute in my kitchen as well which is an extra bonus! ... show more
