    • Good cane, no padding
After using a couple of the cheapish canes from Walgreens, I decided to give this one a try, as the aspect of it folding sounded useful. The cane itself is very sturdy and feels stout and supportive when using it. After using a standard cane though, there are some parts of it that take getting used to. The foot on the bottom of the cane is larger than on ones I have previously used. Because of this, it has to be lifted a bit more while walking, which in turn changed my stride. The pivoting base however provided really good grip and never felt unstable. The one thing that I really disliked about it is a handle. Every cane I've used to date, had a padded handle, and even though this one is curved and a bit more ergonomically in shape, I really missed the padding. I feel like that is an upgrade this product could really use, either built into the handle, or a removable/washable pad that can be slid over the handle. As for the folding piece, I did find that extremally useful. Having had trouble in the past figuring out where to put the cane while in a restaurant and having had canes fall over repeatedly when leaned against things, I found both being able to fold and store it in a bag, or letting it stand on its own next to a table to be great options. ... show more

    • Love the color, uncertain about the base
I was really disappointed when receiving this product as it came with a big scratch on it. This makes me think that it's going to scratch easily if it came like that out of the bag. The color is really pretty and I was really excited about that. I do appreciate that there is no large logo down the side of the cane like another brand I'd contemplated getting. The handle isn't as comfortable as I would have hoped, but I think adding a silicon pad to it would help. Since I don't need it all the time, the comfort should be okay. I have a condition where I'll likely need this on and off my whole life so being able to fold it up and take it with me is really helpful. It is easy to fold and unfold and stick back in the bag. The base I'm not so sure about because while the surface area is bigger, I think the rubber will eventually break overtime. It's a lot of force to be applying to it and there isn't a joint, the rubber just bends in different directions when you use it. It is a good value for the price. ... show more

    • A bit expensive but works fine
My mother has the tendency to lose her canes (10 in the last year) so when I have to buy her a new one, I usually look for something I wont mind losing. This cane is constructed fairly well, and looks nice, though the only real gripe I have is the price. It is a bit on the pricier side of a cane, but she has no issues using it around the house. ... show more

Quick and easy to put sections into each other and take apart- stores in a very small space and little pouch is included for storage. Cane is very lightweight and sturdy, the tip is wide and stable on carpet, hard floors, deck, driveway. Wide height adjustability and the lock pin is secure, it's not in a position where I'd worry about accidentally pressing it in. Handle is a hard plastic, do wish there was a little cushion or padding there. Handy wrist strap. Good to have on hand (knee problems that flare up now and again that a cane will be such a great help with mobility during those times). ... show more

    • Truly portable, dependant and supportive
I ordered this Medicane Walking Cane because I have problems walking when I wake up, I'm developing arthritis. I often need the cane other times during the day too, but not all the time, and not every day. So, I'm glad that this cane is truly portable, it folds easily, and there is included a cloth bag for storage. I also like the wide anti-slip base, because it provides strong support, and facilitate balance when one is walking. ... show more

    • Sturdy cane, however
I have several walking canes that I use for a variety of activities. This cane caught my eye because of the wide tip, and the apparent flexibility. I do like the tip because I think it is less likely to cause a slip and fall; time will tell. My main complaint is that the handle is a hard plastic with zero cushioning. I already know from experience that this type of handle will make for a very sore hand if heavily used. Because of this, it will only have light use around the house for myself. Even so, I will wrap, and tape it, to provide some protection, (Bicycle handle bar wrapping works well.) (Also, personally, I think having to pay $ 5.00 more for a black cane vs a pink, or blue cane, is enough to send me another vendor.) ... show more

    • This is a great cane!
I'm due to have foot surgery a few days after writing this review. Afterwards, I will be laid up for a few months, with no weight allowed on the foot for the first 5-6 weeks, and gradually increasing weight starting at that point. Once I get to the point I can have 50% weight on my foot, I figured I would need a cane. Hence this review of this one which I just received in the mail today. I was worried when I sent for it but I'm happy to say my worries are alleviated by how well made this cane is! AND IT'S PURPLE!!! Immediately upon opening the box, I found it sitting there inside a carrying bag. I had no clue it would come with a carrying bag! Impressive! But, would it be long enough? The bag is very short. That's when I discovered something I overlooked in the description, because I was so overcome by the fact that IT'S PURPLE!!!, which is that it's a folding cane! Amazing! Yeah, I'm very pleased with this cane and honestly can't wait to use it. Sure I'm still young, too young to use a cane, really, but I really don't care. IT'S PURPLE!! Hahaha!! Might I add here that purple is my favorite color? And...IT'S PURPLE! I love this cane already! Ok, ok, seriously, though. This is definitely a great value for a very well-made and sturdy cane. The icing on the top (no, not that it's purple, but that is absolutely awesomesauce! Ha!) is the stability cap on the bottom. It's not one of those weird four clawed ones, instead it's a single round one with little bumps and it is made of rubber, so it will grip the ground securely. It's larger than standard caps and the little bumps are great for helping ensure a good grip on the ground when it needs to offer secure and stable support. ... show more
