This is an excellent cane that is self-standing. It is extremely similar to the Rehand brand, but the tips are ever so slightly different, which allows the Medicane to stand by itself, where the Rehand will not. I had bought both, and I returned my Rehand because the Medicane was precisely the same in every way except the tip, which was itself almost identical, but will stand on its own.
