The media could not be loaded. Would be and have the potential to be a good expresso machine but at the base from the water storage container it leak out water and i mean it leak! Hopefully this was only confine to my machine. But Amazon made it right! Note the few cup i made and had the opportunity to enjoy was great! ... show more

It does a pretty good job at making a decent espresso but pretty disappointed that it’s not as hot as I’d like. It’s mid not hot, temp it dispersed it in. Not sure if I’m going to return yet.

it's good for a lot of reasons, so many it's hard to count, so i'll start with the cons. -if the back water chamber isn't properly set, it may leak water. had this happen where the whole tank dribbled out over night. not a big deal, just gotta make sure it's completely set in its space. -the most major issue i'm facing is the two shot portafilter being so fickle i now simply refuse to use it. for whatever reason, no matter why type of grind i use (the finest i can get with my fairly decent hand held grinder, and this problem still happens) or no matter how hard or light i tamp it, the pressure will skyrocket and invariably pull a bitter shot. i've tried everything. definitely recalibrated the shot times for both single and double shots, and still the pressure is too great when using the double shot filter. it was very frustrating for a few days there, and i was amped up on highly acidic java because i kept drinking the mess ups. finally figured out, after recalibrating the shots, that if i use the single shot filter but press the double shot button, gives the best results. oh, because, yes, even using the single shot filter with the single shot button created too much pressure and eventually pulls a bitter shot, but it wasn't doing it as bad as the double. alas, use the single and press the double and the pressure regulates (just at the edge of too much, but still within the red zone) the pros are many, like i said, this is perfect for small spaces like mine. the dimensions are slim and tall, with the most minimalist aesthetic. it's everything you need and not a bell or whistle more. i love the simplicity of its programming, and the ability to reprogram and clean it easily. the steam wand does spit out a bit too much water for my taste, but clearing out the chamber is important, so i just hold the empty milk frothing bucket under the wand and clear it for a few seconds to keep mess to a minimum. having worked at coffee shops throughout my 20's, i have grown quite particular with my coffee rituals and expectations. and for the most part, this machine suits my needs all things considered. i may look into getting another portafilter at some point, or even maybe a mechanical grinder to really ensure the fine texture of the ground beans, but i'm feeling pretty prepared for fall with this little machine as is. ... show more

Love this little machine! Super compact does not take up a lot of space. I’ve never use an espresso machine before so this did take some learning curve. I watched YouTube videos to get an idea. And be sure to read the instructions that came with the machine! Highly recommend and I definitely think this would make a great gift to anybody who drinks espresso. This little machine makes a great cup of espresso/latte IF you take the time to learn a few tips and tricks. Coffee experts will already know this, but you cannot use regular coffee grounds, you need to use very finely ground coffee beans. The higher quality the better. Learn how to properly fill and tamp the basket for a perfectly extracted espresso. Ditto for the milk steamer. Steaming milk for a latte is much better than simply heating in a microwave and using a frother to create foam. Night and day difference in the taste! I love the small size of this unit and that it does not take up a lot of countertop real estate. The only drawback to the small size is that because it is not very big and hefty, you need two hands to tightly screw the portafilter on to the machine - one hand to hold on to the machine and keep it still, and another hand to tighten the portafilter. It pulls a decent shot of very hot espresso with a nice crema and it does it quickly (20-25 seconds). The steamer is easy to use and the wand is long enough for both small and large amounts of milk. Although I wouldn’t go larger than a 20 oz frothing pitcher. Great little machine for the price. ... show more

For years my wife and I did not drink coffee at all. I am not a big coffee drinker because I can't tolerate very much coffee. I typically have no more than one cup a day. My wife, on the other hand, has really gotten in to coffee over the last few years and has really expanded her varieties. We recently visited her sister. Her husband has a really expensive Espresso machine and got my wife interested in all the different drinks you can make with one. After that visit, we decided to start small with this machine. We enjoy this Espresso maker. It is small so it doesn't take up much space on the counter. It works well and makes a good cup of Espresso. It is also an attractive little appliance. ... show more

I'm no coffee expert so wanted to play around with an espresso maker before committing to making a big purchase I might regret. This espresso maker taught me I'll probably stick to local coffee shops for my iced mochas. But the machine works fine. It makes a pretty big mess, it seems. And I've read that is minimized with better machines. The quality of the espresso does not seem premium from my limited experience. But it was tasty and I enjoyed it.
