  • Pretty good.
Works really well for sparks but offer little protection for slag or and molten metal droplets. Same thing goes for the cut resistance…they work well to protect against abrasions but will not save you from anything razor sharp. These are great if you’re doing smaller projects but I would not recommend these if you’re doing anything heavy duty or plan on using them every day. I wish they were 4”-6” longer but ultimately they met my expectations and I’m happy with them. ... show more

  • Heat and abrasion protection
Purchased these because at my age, I cut and bruise easily. They work well to protect my arms from both

  • Open fingers, which is good for dexterity.
Works as advertised. Happy to have in my toolbox.

  • Not made for people with big arms
Good product but I’m not a fan of the thumb hole and they need a bigger size for people with large forearms or biceps

  • Truly All-Purpose sleeves for artists too...
I'm an artist / writer / snap-fit Gundam modeler who lives in the basement of a house with a swamp cooler and no cold air return. By the very nature of my work environment down here, it's cold as all hell, which often negatively affects my quality of life while trying to write or draw or whatever I'm trying to do. I just got these today, and I'm extremely grateful that Past Me looked out for Future Me and ordered these, for various reasons. - First thing I did was put them on. great fit. Armpit to fingertips I've got about 26" of upper limb real estate (each arm). They don't encumber the movement of any of my fingers or thumbs. I'm totally fine writing and drawing with these on so far... - ...Which brings up my point of praise: because Kevlar is a very non-abrasive material, these don't seem to smudge my pencil marks. Definitely not as easily as my clammy hand tends to, which brings me to... - These don't make my arms sweaty or clammy. I've been wearing them since I opened my package 4 hours ago. The tendons and ligaments in my forearms are wonderfully comfortable They're *not rigid cold* and they're not overly warm. Sleeves don't seem to cause any sort of sweating or clamminess for me. Basically, they fit great, don't inhibit my movement while doing art, keep my arms at a comfortable temperature, lessen the amount of abrasion / smudging while drawing, and could also potentially save me a limb or two in the absurdly unlikely event of getting caught up in a knife fight. Who knows, maybe I'll take up wok-based cooking so as to reap the heat-protective benefits of these bad boys as well. VERDICT: highly recommended as HIGHLY versatile, functional accessories to basically ANY task you can think of. ... show more

  • Comfortable and Reliable - With a Terrible Fit
The first thing I did with these was tear the string across the upper arm. I'm a mildly muscular female, and the top of the sleeve couldn't handle my bulging elbows. Once that was ripped, the string started unraveling, and the top got all goofy. The label is also humongous and I keep on thinking I should get some scissors and do something about that. It's contributing to the unraveling mayhem from me tucking it out of the way all the time. Meanwhile, the bit on the hands couldn't take much movement and it started curling up on my palms. Otherwise, it's happy and snug on my forearms. I expect this will last me 6 months, and because I like the price, I'll buy another pair then. On another note, I wear these for spinning things that are on fire, like nunchaku, fans, poi and other ludicrous pyromaniacal contraptions. I do all sorts of maniacal things with these and I can confidently tell anyone that if you were to splash yourself with fuel or rest your forearm on something remarkably hot, you would not burn yourself because these will protect you, these will mostly stay in place while dancing and bending strangely, and they're not *that* hot to wear. ... show more

  • Great for pro grill cooks
I am a grill cook at mcdonalds and we have clamp grills so i am constantly getting burns on my arm reaching in to clean the back of the grill. So i found these and love them, they are the right color so you really dont notice i am wearing protective gear. The boss approved as well and i really like that the fact they protect all the way to my knuckle and i can wear food service glove right over top thanks to the thumb hole. I dont notice being any hotter than normal either being over a grill all day so that is defiantly a plus. If you are a food service pro i highly recommend you grab a pair and save your self the scars and pain of burns. I will be wearing my pair every shift from here on out only complaint is they are slightly tight but are still new so im sure they will stretch in time ... show more
