  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Fine for casual use, terrible for professional use
TL;DR: Fine for gaming, not for professional use. Don't use it for anything you take seriously. I work from home, and I type a *lot*. I've been touch typing since the early 90's. I need a good, quality keyboard. When my Monoprice mechanical keyboard died, and funds were tight for an equal replacement, I ordered this keyboard and got it for under $30. I've been using it daily for the last 11 months, and I have found it to be of mixed quality. The Good The keyboard types fine. The keys are of good quality, and feels about as good as the Cherry MX Blue switched keyboard it replaced. I haven't had any issues with keys sticking (mechanically) or with general use. That is to say, mechanically, the keys are of good quality and the key caps are just fine. Everything else about the keyboard is terrible. The Bad The first thing I noticed was that the fold-out feet on the bottom of the case will not stay out. I ended up hot gluing them open so that they would stop collapsing while I was typing. Not a huge deal. The Total Showstoppers Now, while the mechanicals of the keyboard, layout, and key caps are fine, the electronics are AWFUL. I'm glad that I have it plugged into a USB hub on my desk, because out of the blue, I'll be typing and it'll start auto-repeating my last key that I typedddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd. Just like that. And when my last key was *backspace* it's a real danger! This happens 2-5 times a week. The other problem is that when typing gibberish like "233423423423423432423423423423432" (which I need to do sometimes, long story) I have had the keyboard lock up until I unplugged USB and plugged it back in. Because I can't predict what the keyboard is going to do, it's being replaced with a Cherry brand keyboard. I put up with it for almost a year, and that was too long. I'll keep it as a backup in case I need it, or if I set up another computer in the house. But for a daily driver, it's a no-go. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars My Favorite keyboard so far!
After spending like an hour reviewing all the back lite keyboards on Amazon I settled on this one. It had most of the features I wanted. It was a smaller compact keyboard, not a fat one for your wrist or really wide. The keys lighting can be set to different options, like all on, or slow flashing, or Matrix scrolling (which is pretty cool), and several others. It comes with a small booklet with information on how to change the lighting. After a month I forgot what button combination it took to change it and after a few minutes of trying keys I found it again. Press FN key plus INS key. So you might want to hold on too the booklet. I remember reading the other reviews on Amazon and one of the complained it is too noise. This is true, it is a clacky keyboard. But the buttons are smooth and I've used it now for a month and so far its my favorite. Just got to get used to the clicking noise. The problem for me is buying the soft keyboards in the past; they are nice and quite, but the key strokes are shorter and sometimes you have to press much harder for the keys to get picked up. I am a fast typer and this keyboard picks up all my key strokes when typing and I don't have to keep going backward in my text to edit what it didn't type in with the soft keyboards. So this works good. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Cheapest and most minimal blue-style keyboard
Purchased this for work in shipping/receiving. The computers come with a slim low profile keyboard that is akin to typing on a laptop. And that bothers me to no end. I could get a cheap membrane keyboard for 5-10 bucks but that could break in a couple of years. I bought this one pinning on the hope that it'll last for much longer than that. It is definitely loud. But typing and punching in numbers is much more satisfying and better than the old keyboard. RGB? That's just an added bonus (and I only set it to reactive lighting). For now, I'm satisfied with this purchase. ... show more

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome for the money!
This keyboard is what I use daily at a work at home job. I type a lot and it hasn’t had one issue. It’s pretty loud but other than that it’s a great deal.

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars Well Made!!!
This is a great entry level mechanical keyboard and not to loud for a call center atmosphere. Well made and sturdy. I purchased two of these.

  • 4.0 out of 5 stars Good for the first mechanical keyboard
It's pretty solid and durable. Blue switches, not hot swappable, adjustable height. Everything work perfectly. I feel it's a good start for the first mechanical keyboard. However, there are some echo (?!) from the spring, and you need to press harder than membrane keyboard. Other than that, It's a great deal for this price range. ... show more

  • 5.0 out of 5 stars PS5 Keyboard
This keyboard is dedicated to my PS5. What makes it great is the fact that it's compact and the lighting effects just add a bit of eye candy. I understand that I don't have access to all the sub functions of the keyboard if it was hooked up to a computer but gaming on the PS5 with a Keyboard and Mouse is great! ... show more

  • 3.0 out of 5 stars Great until it failed
The keyboard has a great look and feel to it. The blue tactile switches feel pretty much perfect, and the clicking sound is a plus for me as well. It took me a while to figure out how to change the lighting and effects, and it has a nice selection of well thought out effects. It even feels well made, but the A key switch failed on me after a few months, so clearly it's not well made. A gaming keyboard should expect extra wear on the WASD keys, so I would not recommend this keyboard. I'm typing this review on a backup from a different brand. ... show more
