  • Patience and Power Tools Recommended.
Style: Black & Yellow
DO NOT attempt to assemble this table without a power driver for the screws. You've been warned. This was an involved but not difficult piece to put together. Be patient; take extra time to make sure that panels are aligned and square, that you have the proper parts, and that those parts are in the proper orientation to match the drawings. You'll be fine. Several reviews refer to the "holes are out of place" which is incorrect. The metal attachments are out of line/out of shape. With careful consideration of the order of power driving the screws into the attachments they will naturally be bent/pulled back into proper alignment. If you make the wise choice to use power tools be careful not to OVERTIGHTEN the screws or you will STRIP THE HOLE for the screw. Be VERY GENTLE when handling the table during or after assembly. ESPECIALLY when rotating the table off the ground onto it's wheels. The particle-board construction is prone to failure wherever you attach the elements with screws. As careful and forewarned as I was, I still had a particle board blowout where one set of the legs connect to the underside of the playing surface. I was able to make a repair and the table folds and plays as it should. The supplied paddles and balls are crap so be prepared to make that purchase immediately. Given the cost I wasn't surprised at the quality of the materials, but it does what it's supposed to do and is worth the price paid. To build a table out of plywood and 2x4's would cost you double this and wouldn't fold. ... show more

  • At this price, very much worth it, but be aware of design flaw and be ready to spend time putting it together.
Style: 9' - Blue/White
After reading other reviews, I wavered for a long time but ultimately ordered. Delivery was prompt and the table was well packaged. One edge of the playing surface was nicked, but it wasn't significant enough to return the table and that's to be expected when you're ordering something huge. I'm a technical writer and spend every day writing instruction manuals and installation instructions. My professional opinion? These aren't good. It's not that the construction is that complex; it's that the instruction manual crams about five steps into one. That leaves you to mull it over and suss it out. But with patience and some thinking, you can get it together in a few hours. I put mine together over two days because I have a young son and there just aren't a few consecutive "free" hours in my day. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase. I love how easily it folds up and then rolls. I love how simple it is to switch it for solo practice. Two things that the buyer should be aware of, one minor and one major. First, the paddles and balls that come with this table are terrible. The balls have no bounce whatsoever. Fortunately, ping pong balls can be found almost anywhere and are extremely cheap. You were going to have to buy more anyhow because I guarantee you'll lose two within a few days of playing. The big issue with this table is a very significant design flaw that leaves a 4-6 inch gap between the two halves of the playing surface (which comes in four pieces). This was not due to faulty construction on my part or any missed steps. I double checked and then triple checked it. It's the design. You can see in the image a gray, plastic piece between the two halves. This piece is far too long, which causes the gap. The piece in the photo must be smaller. All of that being said, the problem was rather easily remedied by removing this part, pushing the halves flush, and using bungee cords to hold it together (which you probably don't even need if you're not leaning on the table). In the end, you get what you pay for. If you're a pro, this isn't the table for you. If you're a recreational player, it's quite good for the price. Just mind the gap. ... show more

  • A decent table for the price.
Style: 9' - Blue/White
This table was one of the least expensive options available.. so my expectations were not high. I did not realize, for an example, that the table itself would be 4 pieces, not 2. Didn't give it much thought actuall. Given that. I am pleasantly surprised by the quality. Don't fool yourself.. This is not your public rec center grade table on heavy-duty roll-away casters. This is a basement or rec room grade table. Not meant to be jumped on of have boxes of storage stuff left on it. Its not going to serve as a work bench or an ironing table. This is a light-duty ping pong table that should be folded up if not in use and put aside. Pros. Fun table. It works! Light weight. Finished assembly looks halfway decent! Assembly is extensive but manageable. (Keep track of bits.. no extras provided!!) Very reasonable cost Cons 4 piece table assembly means there's a seam down the middle white stripe. The straps included to hold these two pieces together are not adequate for a completely smooth seam. (When the ball hits the uneven seam, it will deflect) I have built a few things in my life.. and this is not difficult to fix.. When I break this table down next time, I will add 4x1 strips to the backside along.the seam and glue/screw to the table pieces for a smoother stronger seam. If you expect to use this table outdoors.. even under an awning or such.. don't expect a real long life out of it. Even with a cover, I think this table is susceptible to moisture and the elements. I'll be using this table in that fashion.. and if I get 3 or 4 yrs out of it in our mild climate, it will have served my expectations well! The included paddles and balls are kind of junky.. They work for first time players.. but the balls sound hollow and the paddles feel awful.. plan to invest in a mid range set at Big 5 or similar.. I purchased some Kettlers and they are fine for fun rec play. ... show more
