  • Good value, not solid rubber, time will tell
Size: 16 Ft.
Product was a little over 16' maybe 16' 9" or so, which was nice to have some margin for error. I redid 2 8' doors that have not had their bottom seal replaced in at least a decade. This wasn't a heavy duty rubber, but wasn't foam either, so no idea how long it will hold up. Since I cut in half, the outer part of the roll was easy to deal with by myself. The inner part had a tight coil and wanted to wind back up, so I hung it up and put heavy clamps on the end as weight to straighten it out, which it did well enough. Not sure about longevity of the nails - they were painted not galvanized. I think these will out before the rubber does and then I'll replaced with galvanized roofing nails. Overall, not an amazing product, but a good value nonetheless. I could see light under the door without a seal, and none with them. ... show more

  • Not Rubber, Not Perfect...
Size: 16 Ft.
Its Cheap material; definitely not rubber. My Garage door is an old wood door, double wide, it doesn't sit perfectly, although the resting place is a solid level cement threshold. Not what I needed, just too light weight and not bulky enough to fit tight. I did however install it and used the best parts of my old rubber one to double up on the ends of the door where I had the biggest gaps. Pictured here is the old rubber one from my door; the bottom of my wooden door with no weather stripping and finally the method I used to keep this in place while I was working solo. Even after doubling up I am still not pleased, but it is better than what I had with the old worn out one. take a look at your door closely while in the down position; if it all looks perfectly square, then this might work, but if your door (especially a double door) has a center sag (normal) then you may have gaps on each side. On a positive note, its plenty long for a 16 foot door, with some to spare; the tacs and built in washers are good and the washer combination should help keep the tacs from pulling right out of this poly material; plenty of these included. ... show more

  • Depends how you want to use it
Size: 16 Ft.
PROS: The price is VERY cheap & is actually pretty wide (other reviews complained about this) CONS: IF you actually use this as your only weather strip for the bottom of your garage door it provides little to no depth, thus water, wind, dirt, bugs and critters will still get in. Unless your garage floor is extremely level and your garage door is closed with downward & sustained force (not likely) there will be gaps. The strip is made of a rubber "like" material that has an almost spongy feel to it. The supplied nails do NOT look like the picture, they include a black plastic type washer, because the nails along would rip through the rubber "like strip. NOTE that almost ALL garage door bottoms are metal these days - so the nail are useless. I bought this NOT as a replacement for my current weather strip, but in the hopes of using a little of it as a CHEAP patch. I have a two car garage with a single door. On both ends there is a couple inch gap where my weather strip is short. It has been that way since I bought the house from the previous owner. I live in Florida & the other day I heard my wife yell - a snake was in our garage! Snakes are ALL around in Florida, this like most was a harmless garter snake but still not something you want to see - even in a garage. So as a quick/cheap fix I bought this. I cut this to length of my gap & tried attaching it to the bottom of the door. There was already on screw in the area I needed to patch so I started with that. I quickly learned that I needed a washer because my first attempt ripped right through the strip. My next problem was that I had to drill a starter hole in the bottom of the metal door plate which is quite thick. My 18V battery operated drill (or maybe the little drill bit I had on the end of it) were NOT up to the task. After 5 plus minutes of drilling with considerable pressure I barely put a mark in the door. The next idea I had was to somehow glue the piece on the door bottom. I tried just about everything. Double sided heavy duty mounting tape, a whole tube of Crazy Glue and even Mighty Putty which you are suppose to be able to use on rubber. Absolutely NOTHING will stick to this rubber "like" strip. So I ended up just cutting 3 piece on each end to length, stacked them on top of each other, sate them on the floor where the gap was & closed the door. On Monday I will just call in a garage door company and have them replace the whole thing. I would have rated it lower except it is a good price & may work for a select FEW people. ... show more

  • Looks good. Does a good job sealing.
Size: 16 Ft.
Easy install. Good price. Liked that the nails and washers were included. Was concerned that the length. Length ended up being at least 16'6".

  • IT IS RUBBER
Size: 16 Ft.
It is rubber material, takes a little effort to conform to what is in pictures, but Ilike this material because it will take the elements that it will be exposed too. I left the door closed once I was able to get the rubber seal flat for 24 hours, then it was formed to that shape. Yes, I would recommend to a friend. Remember it is only good as the installer, starts with thought ends with skill and last with good material. ... show more

  • Simple, but seems to work.
Size: 16 Ft.
Simple design. Easy to install. Cut to fit is easy to accomplish. Good seal when new. Hope it stays flexible over time to maintain good seal. Much less expensive than the round tubes that fit in a track.
