  • Needs to be with something horizontal as well
Style: Wood Size: Queen Color: Vertical Slat
This is a great help for stability on our queen-sized bed. The boxspring itself doesn't fit up the stairs, and we don't have the tools to saw it in half and screw it together again. Our bedframe has 4 horizontal bars, which is okay, but this was needed as we couldn't use the box spring.

  • Upgrade your bed with these to support heavy memory foam
Style: Heavy Duty Wood Size: King Color: Vertical Slat
We’ve been struggling for years to find the right mattress. Too hard, too soft. Settled on memory foam, but the problem with memory foam is the weight. Especially King Size. It’s too heavy for most bed frames made in China to work as designed without a box spring. It also softens a lot as it warms up. We noticed something extremely aggravating — the middle was perfectly supportive while the sides sank way in, leading to some pretty severe back and neck pain, and most concerning for me, clenching and grinding of my teeth. After having a child, it then got so much worse. Every minute of quality sleep just counts that much more. We felt like zombies. And our aging bodies were not only getting destroyed during the day caring for a child but were unable to recover at night and in fact were further strained as we slept, getting worse and worse throughout the night as the mattress warmed up. It was a nightmare. The culprit is those flimsy slats that they always come with that are somehow supposed to support like 600 lbs evenly, not just at the edges and middle where most frames support. How dumb honestly. A single person rarely has a king size bed — more typically a queen or full. So why design a king bed frame to only support one person sleeping in the middle? We were desperate. I was about to tear down the bed and put the mattress on the floor, when I thought, maybe we can find some better slats. These thick, heavy duty slats are just what we needed! They provide far superior support to the flimsy ones that came with our supposedly high end designer bed frame. They simply lay perpendicular atop the existing slats in the opposite way in a hatch pattern. The result: our sleep is dramatically improved. After some weeks of adjustment, fewer body aches and no more clenching/grinding. We sleep less and through most of the night, and wake up relaxed and alert instead of groggy and in pain. I can still tell a difference in the middle, but it’s not bad. Sleep problems solved. ... show more

  • Slat width cut 1/4" too short and "heavy duty" slats still bows too much -slats don't stay on frame.
Style: Heavy Duty Wood Size: Queen Color: Horizontal Slat
You'd think bed frame slats would be a simple thing but these slats are cut too narrow, sadly about 1/4" too short and too flimsy that they bow with any weight on the mattress so slats won't stay on my frame when weight is put on the mattress as the slats bow. Queen size standard width is 60" -my bedframe is 61" wide with 1-1/2" rails for the slats to sit on... that's a 58" gap with 1-1/2" ledge for the slats. Slats come only 59-3/4" which leaves about 0.875" overlap of slats on the ledge. Sounds fine until you put weight on the mattress (I only weight about 120 lbs) where the slats will bow and pops off the rails. If only they cut the slats a full 60" wide ... and/or... use stiffer slat material so it doesn't bow so easily. My DIY solution is to staple EVERY slat end (instead of the normal four screw retainers -also not included) AND also build a brace with legs down the middle of the length of the bed to stop any bowing of the slats. This model of the slats is the more expensive "heavy duty" version to avoid bowing but it's apparently not "heavy duty" enough that it bows when only 120 lbs is placed on the 15" think mattress. ... show more

  • Good replacement slats but need to buy extra center support
Style: Heavy Duty Wood Size: Queen Color: Horizontal Slat
I bought these to replace broken wooden slats on my queen bed frame. I measured my frame to make sure they would fit and they fit perfectly. You can adjust the width between slats to be wider or closer apart to fit properly on your frame. I would suggest buying a center support to go under these slats, as I don't believe they would be enough support on their own with a queen bed AND 2 adults on it. The other issue I found with these is they slide around a little on the frame when you're moving around on the bed, so there can be creaking noises. This can be improved by securely attaching them to the frame with screws. I am not that savvy, however, so I just deal with the slight creaking and moving for now. Seeing as there aren't many other options besides buying an entirely new bedframe, these replacement slats work just fine for my purposes. ... show more

  • Holds up to 2 heavy set people.
Style: Wood Size: Queen Color: Vertical Slat
Honestly works amazing. Just the right size. Little gaps help, when laying down couldn’t even feel them. Holds up to me and my boyfriend’s weights and it’s been few months now. Stays in place, solid design, small gaps are unnoticedble, must buy for any hybrid bed or memory foam bed.

  • Shifts constantly
Style: Wood Size: Queen Color: Vertical Slat
This bunky board allowed me to use my new bed with my current mattress. The thing is, I have to consistently shift it back into place because it doesn't secure at the edges. The slots move with nothing that maintains them separated at regular intervals. What ends up happening is that the slot that goes all the way to the edge shifts more towards the middle leaving a gap which makes my mattress sag because it's unsupported. Most of us tend to sleep on one side or the other getting in and getting out on that same side. Though it is relatively easy to pick up my mattress and shift the plank over, it does make for a very annoying routine. Other than that this is a great option for those who aren't able to buy a whole new platform or a new box spring for the mattress ... show more

  • Way better than a Boxspring!
Style: Wood Size: Full Color: Horizontal Slat
We ended up building a floor bed but didn’t want the mattress on the actual ground or a boxspring so we laid this on top on the 2x4s and it’s perfect!

  • Just what we needed and came right in time for company. a
Style: Wood Size: Queen Color: Horizontal Slat
We switched beds and frames and needed these to accommodate a split box spring. We had to trim off 1/2 inch but they were perfect . Nice quality, very sturdy
