  • Quiet
One of the reasons I was drawn to buying a fightstick was the obnoxious clack, clack, clack; clackity, clack, clack that fighting game personalities can produces in demonstrating their thing. Why shouldn't my neighbors know I'm playing Street Fighter 6? Little did I know, this fight stick is quiet. That's probably actually a good thing, because my wife and kids would tire of the clacking almost instantly, and my game time would be relegated to when everyone's in bed or out of the house. A happy accident, to be sure. More importantly, the F500 feels built like a tank. I'm coming to this after buying a gamepad styled fighting game controller that felt hollow and lost a button connection (heavy kick) within a month. Very underwhelmed there. I doubt that'll happen here. I'm not too worried if it does, because all the parts are brand name and can be replaced independently. As an aside, if, when you plug and play, you discover that your light and medium buttons are inverted, M, L, H instead of L, M, H, it's the left most switch up top near the controller icon - needs to be all the way up, and not in the middle. Save you a headache. I was thinking mine was miswired or Steam was misreading it. Not the case. ... show more

  • This is THE Arcade stick you should buy!
The media could not be loaded. Wow, this arcade stick has exceeded my expectations. After searching for an arcade stick to play classic arcade games, because new generation controllers don't really work good for classic arcade games, I hit the jackpot with this arcade stick. Its a step up from the F500 because of one big difference: The Sanwa joystick and Sanwa buttons that come equip with the F500 Elite. Although one downside is the joystick ball is too small. The buttons do make noise but nothing too annoying and unbearable. You can customize this arcade stick with different color Sanwa buttons and joystick knobs. I would highly recommend you replace the square plate with the circle plate on the joystick. Also, if you're going to buy this please add some dope artwork. I added some Marvel Vs Capcom artwork I bought from Etsy. Overall, I'm pretty damn satisfied with this arcade stick. Its a little on the expensive side but you'll be glad you invested in it. If you want the best arcade stick on the market and the best Mayflash arcade stick, get the Mayflash F500 Elite! ... show more

  • The best value universal arcade stick for multiple systems
Pros: Cable storage. However takes up internal space. Cable can be replaced. May flash sells replacement. Easy to mod/swap buttons/add artwork. Comfortable palm rest. Magnetic clear acrylic panel, also held down by the 8 buttons. You can replace that panel if damaged. Hardware mounting plate can be swapped for other layouts. However, finding a replacement panel for art would be impossible for a clean comfortable esthetic. Rubber pads are great so the stick doesn’t slide around on a surface. Modular PCBs inside can be removed if desired. Cons: No L3R3. Need to disconnect the 8 buttons and also remove the ball to change the panel artwork. Take a photo of the colored wires beforehand. Buttons don’t click in fully to the case, but it’s fine. Actually they click onto the acrylic panel. They won’t pop out on their own. Only comes in a Vewlix layout. Finding another 3rd party mounting layout plate is close to impossible. Rubber pads are fine to place on a surface. Would like to see a larger pad. But you can always add it yourself. Case color isn’t for most people. I’ve taken out the flat boring gray stock artwork. So it looks more industrial. You can paint it at your own risk. “Universal.” May flash is the best for stock universal sticks, but they still require some consoles to have a controller or adapter to be plugged in. Not competition friendly. You can’t use the USB port for charging. Could still be questionable if you’re getting genuine sanwa parts. That’s not mayflash’s fault. Sanwa has had some distribution problems in the past with knock off components. It has happened to Qanba, it could happen with these sticks too. No wireless option. Could add cost and complexity to the product. Some people would like to see all the PCBs in 1 board. Audio pass through with mute for some systems. I haven’t used it. What’s that not included vibration strap really used for?……. “Rez trance vibrator” now with wrist strap! ... show more

  • This should 100% be your first stick (maybe only)
I can't express how much I love this stick and wish I had gotten it as my first one instead of the 8bit stick. The face is wide enough for your hands but not too wide that its clunky. The customization is amazing as well as the price. I hope Mayflash keeps making the F-series as well as maybe leverless sticks. *To note I've only used it on PC and haven't had to use a controller with it, which I've heard is a slight hassle but worth it for what you get with the stick. ... show more

  • First stick ever and I have no regrets
I decided to invest in a stick since all of the new fighting games coming out in the next year. I've been having a lot of fun playing sf6. Worth it if this will be your first stick.
