It’s just as volumizing, lengthening, and defining as the higher-end brands, and it doesn’t break the bank. The formula is buildable, which I love. I can add more coats for extra drama without it clumping, and it holds my curl all day. The Blackest Black is perfect for bold lashes, and I love how lightweight it feels on my lashes. It’s just a tiny bit thicker than Thrive, but it still goes on smoothly and gives my lashes incredible volume. Plus, it doesn’t flake throughout the day, which is a huge win for me. This mascara is great and works better than a nearly $40 Lancôme mascara that I recently purchased. I’d been getting lash extensions for years and recently decided to give my lashes a break and switch back to regular mascara. I wanted something that would give me a lot of length and separation as my lashes are very fine and lack volume. I purchased a very expensive Lancôme mascara as I’d always had good luck with them. Well, after maybe 5 uses, the Lancôme wand snapped in two pieces and I was unable to use the rest of the product. I was mad and didn’t want to spend another small fortune to replace it, so i started looking for a cheaper option. That’s where this one came in. And oh my god! It works even better than the Lancôme. I’m dead serious. No clumping, so much length and so much separation! The application is easy and mess free and I’ve found that there’s been pretty much no smudging or transferring even when I get sweaty. After my eyelash curler ripped out a bunch of lashes, I began looking for something light weight to give my remaining lashes some color . I came across the tinted Sky High primer, which is infused with serum. I felt like it helped nourish my lashes. I had tried few other things before using the primer & didn’t see any change. The primer totally helped & I felt like it really curled my lashes without a curler. After about a month all my lashes finally grew back in & I started using the mascara in addition to the primer. I LOVE this combo. I have ALWAYS had to curl my super straight lashes & I don’t have to with this. I’m amazed, one coat of the primer & one coat of mascara & I am good to go. After having my curler ruin my lashes, I was gun shy about starting to use one again. I’m 48 & have been using mascara since I was 11 & this is the only mascara I don’t need a curler with. I’ve tried mascara at every price point & these have become my holy grail. I haven’t had any issues cleaning it of with my Cerave moisturizing cleanser or micellar water. ... show more

There is no question that this is good mascara. I have this in a few different shades, and I’m experimenting with which color I like best. It goes on beautifully and comes off really nicely, as well. That is a real plus. What I’m not sure about is how sometimes it just feels like a lot on my eyes. Even if you try to apply lightly, it can feel pretty wet and dark. I might just still be trying to apply correctly so, again, I’m experimenting with different shades. I am really liking the cosmic black, which comes in the black tube, so that might be making a difference as the consistency seems to feel a little bit different. But I really do like how all of these can be removed so easily because they are tubing mascaras. Definitely a nice mascara line and great value for money! ... show more

This may be the best mascara I've ever used. It only took 2 coats to get longer lashes than my old mascara gave with 3. It isn't clumpy - the wand keeps lashes perfectly fanned out, and they didn't budge or smudge or flake the whole day. I used the same, chonky, orange tube mascara for over a decade and swore it was the best of the best, but after discovering this gem, I officially have a new favorite. My review is regarding the Lash Sensational Sky High mascara by Maybelline. (I purchased black.). I am 65 years old and used to have long, beautiful eyelashes. They were so long and thick that I only needed to use an eyelash curler on them for years and never needed to apply mascara. Into my 40s I noticed my eyelashes were falling out and became very sparse. I do believe that using the eyelash curler that pulled at the roots is what caused them to fall out. (do not use eyelash curlers!). They eventually grew back, but have been very sparse and thin ever since. I’ve been searching for years for a mascara that will actually make my lashes look thicker, longer and curly. This product does that. I’m thinking it has something to do with the application brush. It is very thin. The thin application brush makes it easy to accurately apply the mascara only to my eyelashes, (and not all over my eyelids.). I apply to one side, and then the other side, then I dip the brush back into the tube get more mascara, and apply to both sides one more time. The results are amazing!
