So I bought this foundation for a trip I am going on and wanted to be able to use it in the car without making a huge mess with liquid foundation. My skin is very dry and can not tolerate powder. So I decided to try this. I tried it on top of my normal skin care with spf and moisturizer like normal to see how it holds up. The left side of the pic is with the foundation and the right side is without. You can see it covered all my redness and even some of my freckles. It’s not flakey at all. I think I've bought about 30 tubes of this since it came out, it's my favorite foundation. It is a little expensive, since it costs the same as a bottle but you rip through it in way less time, but it's still worth the money. It's so easy to apply (in the car, in a workplace bathroom, anywhere you have a mirror), never spills in your purse, and gives a nice smooth finish with good medium coverage. The Maybelline FitMe line is also very consistent with colors, if you're 220 in one, you're 220 in the other forms, so you can try their other products without fuss (I also love the Matte Poreless and the concealer). The only annoying thing is Amazon doesn't give the number codes, only the names, which makes it harder to shop them. I prefer to buy it in person, so I know it's fresh and clean, but it's always out of stock in the big box stores near me, so I am trying Amazon now. This stuff is AMAZING. I had essentially lost hope in having a foundation that would match my skin, let alone stay so well. In fact, I have only been using concealer for ages. It's not mushy at all, and applies much like a stick of concealer would - if you receive a mushy one DO NOT use it as it has probably expired. I get the best result when I apply it directly to my skin - and honestly I don't need to use much. I have major dark circles, acne scars, and current acne and this does it ALL. Once applied I use a stippling brush to blend it out (if you don't have one yet go get one!) and the result is awesome. Just set with your favorite powder and you're done! If you're getting a 'cakey' result, you're probably using too much. Add little bits at a time to layer it on because this stuff has great coverage. I have combination skin. Majority of my face is normal, I have oily in my t-zone, and dry under my eyes. This is moisturizing enough to keep my undereye from caking or drying out and "flat" enough to prevent the shine of my t-zone. Finished product looks natural (I swipe the stick on my face in a few areas, then blend with a medium sized fluffy brush). Plus, it's lightweight in case you need to carry with you for touch ups. I'm definitely looking forward to traveling with this one (won't count as a liquid in you TSA liquid bag, plus, it will be easy to apply a fresh face before landing if that's your thing). All the go-to foundations I normally use for those quick "pick me up"/even out my skin tone-days, this is going to replace it all. Buildable coverage. I received this product opened and used. I know it was used because the previous recipient left a note inside that she had also received it used and was afraid it would be resold. Very light and not heavy at all. It's very easy to apply. I simply put it on my face in circular motion and then blend in with my fingertips. I do not feel it on my skin, as the opposite with heavier foundations. My facialist noticed a difference between this one and my other more expensive heavier one. She said my wrinkles and skin look much better. Her jaw dropped when I told her it was a less expensive make-up that you can buy from the drug store. My other high-end foundation cakes and cracks at my wrinkles, making them look deeper. I do not have this problem with this foundation. The coverage is just enough to hide my skin flaws, but not too heavy that it looks like I have foundation on. That's what a good foundation should do. Look like perfect, yet natural skin. Questioning if this is the genuine product or some knockoff in the right packaging. It smeared on my face in chunks and did not maintain its shape. I’m usually pleased with this product and am disappointed with this order.
