  • Easy to Use!
Material Type: Aluminum Size: wide alum grass 5 steps
I have a 55 pound, 12 year old dog. He loves riding in my SUV, but arthritis makes it impossible for him to jump in and he hates being picked up. These portable stairs are perfect!. A little coaxing with his favorite treat, he easily goes up and down. I got the extra wide, 5 step stairs. They are very easy to set up with a safety strap that hooks on the latch hook. They're light, so easy to fold up and store in the car. Well made with fake grass that really makes them great to look at. Well worth the money. ... show more

  • Great product
Material Type: Aluminum Size: 5 steps bones
These steps are the perfect solution for our aging dog to get in and out of the car. It only took a couple of practice runs involving a treat to get her used to it. She has no problem going up or down. She is a bigger dog -70 lbs and the steps are sturdy and she feels comfortable on them. I place one foot on the bottom step for a little more stability for her. I love how compact they are when folded up, about the size of a backpack, and they fit on the floor behind the front seat. They are so easy to use I can open, close and restore them with one hand. So much easier and more convenient than a ramp. We use them for the backseat but can also be used for the back hatch. We couldn’t be happier with this product. ... show more

  • I'll buy it again, but I think I'll have to...
Material Type: Aluminum Size: 5 steps bones
So I've had this for about a year. The good: -It works GREAT for my older lab. -It's very lightweight and easy to use. -It's sturdy enough for my 60lb dog. -I like that it folds up and takes very little space in the SUV vs a heavy/huge ramp. -Rain/snow are not a problem The bad: -I've tightened and replaced many of the screws. -The rivet on the bottom just broke, I replaced it with a similar screw. -The plugs for the metal tubes are plastic push in things. They fall out almost instantly. Next time (there will be a next time) I'll glue the plugs in immediately. Somehow I'll come up with a rubber bumper for the feet. The same plastic plugs are in the bottom and they wear/fall out. Bottom line, this is a great idea executed on the cheap. It's kinda pricey to have to replace it too often. However, it's so handy I definitely will buy again when I can't bandaid it together any more. I would and have recommended it to friends and random people in parking lots. Update: another year, still amazing. Only improvement would be small feet on landing step. I've sold so many in parking lots at the park, haha I should get a commission ... show more

  • solid. sturdy. easy to deploy and store
Material Type: Aluminum Size: 6 steps bones
Quick and easy to set up (2 - 3 seconds). Just as easy to take down and stow away. Handles the weight of my 110 pound dog without any issues.

  • No more lifting or jumping
Material Type: Aluminum Size: 6 steps bones
We bought these for our old dog who could no longer jump in or out of the van, but it's great for the young puppy, too. No more lifting the big lug! These steps are very easy to use and are lightweight yet strong.

  • Good design but one flaw
Material Type: Aluminum Size: 6 steps bones
Overall these stairs are great. They are lighter than I expected, the frame is very sturdy and folds easily into a compact shape. There is one flaw that concerns me a good amount. The surface of the step itself is not a solid piece of plastic but instead a square of plastic smaller than the step itself which is sewn in between two layers of fabric. (The fabric itself is great and the rubberized traction marks work great) The problem is that this makes the steps give and flex a lot more than if it were a solid piece that extends over the frame itself. I fear that over time these will fail as the fabric supporting all the weight wears. Even if that doesn't happen, it makes the steps flex more which makes the steps seem unsteady. It's hard enough to convince an aging dog to trust these steps and anything that makes them seem less stable just increases the dog's anxiety. I really wish they would have designed these differently. That said, they do work fine for now, and hopefully won't wear out soon. My dog did eventually learn to trust these steps and they help him get into the vehicle much easier than the stool I was using previously. I would probably buy these again so long as they last a sufficient amount of time. (My dog is a 113lb 12.5 year old black lab with muscle loss and arthritis in his back legs and hips. I'm not sure I would use these for a dog much heavier despite their higher rating, but they do fine for him.) ... show more

  • Finally found one that works!
Material Type: Aluminum Size: wide alum grass 5 steps
I’ve been trying to figure out how to help my elderly 96 pound dog get in and out of the SUV, and this one finally did it. The grass on the steps keeps it from feeling slippery under his paws, and it feels sturdy. So easy to use and fold right up and put away in the backseat

  • easy for me, easy for the dogs
Material Type: Aluminum Size: 6 steps bones
This 6 step collapsible stairway is light weight and folds fairly small pkg that is easy to stash in the back seat of my 4WD SUV. The stairs reach easily to the 28" high back of my rig and secure with a clip. I took both dogs out to the driveway to try it out. Yes, treats were needed, but it took only a bit before both mastered the steps going up and down. One dog is lightweight and doesn't really need the steps, my somewhat oversize Cardigan Corgi, however was difficult for me to lift and is so long I feared I might injure his back and mine lifting him repeatedly on trips or appointments at the vets. I imagine it will take a few times before treats are not needed, but they did fine. The steps did not wobble, and the rubbery covering offered adequate traction. My Corgi is quite wide and these were wide enough to support him. I give this purchase a big thumbs up and several tail wags. ... show more
