It's very sturdy and I like that it's covered in fabric - no plastic feel to it. The shelves are stiff and straight - I couldn't be happier with these. I bought for my college student and it's perfect as temporary shelving system with some drawers. This comes ina plastic bag and when you unpack it you are immediately treated to a cheesy, sweaty, stinky scent. That DOES NOT go away. I put these out on the deck for a full Night and a full day and they did not sell less. I sprayed peppermint oil on them, multiple times and let direct sunlight bake them. They still smell. And the clothing that is put in them has this slight fragrance to it also. This is poorly handled. I am not sure what is used to make these or what else is out on them but this needs to be addressed.
