    • Fantastic little espresso machine
Comes with a single and double cup filter, the portafilter, and a scoop/tamper. I highly suggest picking up your own tamper (this machine's portafilter is 51mm). Pros: - Portafilter is sturdy and easily rests flat on a counter top to make tamping espresso grounds less of a chore - Drip tray has multiple removable pieces including the bottom tray for larger cups (say, if you're adding a shot to a coffee mug) and a liner at the bottom which aids in easy cleanup - Top of the unit doubles as a cup warmer - Decent sized 44oz water tank - Compact overall unit size and the bottom has suction cups to prevent sliding around when securing the portafilter - Over-pressure sensor - Manually adjustable shot volume Cons: - Included scoop/tamper tool is weak plastic. Invest in your own tamper for more consistent results (and a WDT for even ground distribution/anti-clumping) - Not really a con of this machine but just in general - the brew head will pick up grounds on and around the outside of the head - suggest using a paper or mesh filter on top of your portafilter to prevent this - Frothing wand takes a lot of practice, ended up using a handheld frothing tool after steaming the milk for cappuccinos Overall making a cup or double of espresso was mostly effortless. Measurements have a "fill to here" line in the filters you place in the portafilter, but that's tamped. Another suggestion is a food scale you can measure in grams, large enough to fit the entire portafilter on that you can zero out so you can get the proper measurement of espresso grounds for consistent shots. You do need to run an empty portafilter through before making your first drink to properly warm the unit and components up (and each subsequent run if the unit cools down between use). Following these, I've had consistent enjoyable espresso every time over the course of the last couple weeks of use. ... show more

This is my first espresso machine. My experience with coffee so far involves everything from roasting my own beans to using a pour over to make a delicious cup of coffee. My experience with this machine so far has been very pleasant. The shot (or two) of espresso this has made so far has been fantastic. It has a decent amount of crema to it (not too little, not too much) that'll last long enough to have it either mixed or tasted. I really like how there's enough room to fit an entire mug underneath the spout. This makes making drinks like a latte a lot easier. The drip tray also detaches very easily for cleaning, which is nice. The steam wand was a bit tricky to use the first time I tried to froth milk...but I think the majority of that was a user error. The only negatives I have with this machine are the "cup warmer" on top never gets very warm. For sure not hot enough to warm up a cup set on top. Maybe if you were using this to make multiple drinks it would, but in my experience (making 1-2 shots at a time) it's barely warm to the touch. I also wasn't impressed with the quality of the scoop/tamper. It's a two-in-one part, which is nice...but it's made of plastic. It still functions just fine.     • Great Addition to my coffee bar!
I wanted to add espresso to my coffee bar and this is the perfect machine for a newbie to do that! By no means am I a coffee connoisseur, so adding this was more just to have it as an option then it was the need to have the BEST one. The machine is made very well and comes packaged very nicely with great directions on how to use it. It is both easy to use and easy to clean! I have not tried to use the steam wand as I have a separate milk frother that is really easy to use - but I know I will try it out once I get used to it. Aso the tamper is made of plastic which is ok for me but those who are picky may want to pick up one to replace that! I have made a few shots of espresso for my dad (who is Italian) that were well received. I agree with the others who have said they really like the idea of being able to fit a full mug under the spouts which makes making other drinks much easier. I also like that you can make two cups of espresso at a time. Overall I love the look of the machine and It suits my needs perfectly! ... show more

This is a really attractive and compact machine, and it makes very tasty espresso. The milk frothier puts out a good hot stream of steam that gives a delicious finish to that cup of hot concentrated caffeine! It's easy to set up and use, and the included instructions are thorough and helpful. The stainless steel finish on the machine looks sleek, and the coffee maker occupies a very small footprint on my kitchen counter. I'm totally in love. I originally got this to give to a friend who lives for her morning espresso, but after tasting the coffee it makes, I'm afraid she's going to have to wait for me to get another one. I love expresso but hate the hassle to make it, however, this machine makes the process not so painful. All you need just have your expresso grounds ready and you are good to go. The heating up process is short and expresso taste really flavorful comparing to regular K cup machine. You can make as much expresso as you want instead of going out to get in the line in the store. This is a great looking espresso machine that comes with everything you need to make a nice espresso, cappuccino, and latte. The instructions are easy enough to follow. I do recommend reading through all of them. When using the steam wand, the machine can reach max pressure. The instructions will show you a very easy way to relieve that. As a first-time time espresso machine owner, this seems easy to use. The only thing extra that might be worth buying is a nicer tamper than what's provided, but honestly, what they provide is still enough to get you by. ... show more
