It was seldom that I actually completed my tasks bc I would overheat and have to remove the suit and cool off, leaving the rest of the task to a friend.     • Zipper by neck needs to be moved slightly

The media could not be loaded. The breathability of the jacket is great. The visibility through the veil over your head is great. I feel like the construction of the suit overall, the elastic at waist and wrists is good. It has adequate pockets. But the zippers are not very smooth. Especially the zippers at the very top that are supposed to overlap each other to make sure no bees crawl in on accident is very tight. I feel like over time the zippers will wear out because of how hard I have to pull on them to get one zipper to overlap the other. The inner zipper should have been placed a little bit further up so that the outer zipper has more clearance to get over it. The zipper metal doesn't run smoothly so the clasps kind of stick at certain spots. I've had bee suits with better quality zippers. But the breathability is great. ... show more

I probably should have ordered a large instead of the medium, but it works great. Much cooler and I haven’t been stung with it. At times the zippers requires more effort than I would like, but overall satisfied.

I would totally recommend this jacket. It is amazing fit true to what it says, and I will tell you my husband has yet to be stung since he got this good job would recommend any beekeeper to buy this Well constructed to!! It’s avery good product.

    • Cheap face netting/poorly.stitched

I have had this product over a year and it was my alternate jacket. While it is good for cooling, after 5 wears, the stiches has come from the face screen and the fabric leaving the jacket useless.. its been sitting for about 6.months now taking space as i try to get someone to help fix it since the netting is unraveling and not the heavy duty quality of.some other ones out there . The coat is still in good condition but need face covering to work otherwise.its.useless to me. I unfortunately couldnt upload.photo After giving amazon permission to do so. ... show more

The face unzips! I can get a drink without having to take my whole bee suit off. It’s got layers and seems like it would be heavy and hot. It’s not! With the extreme heat we’ve been having I can still spend an hour inspecting my bees and not overheat! Zippers are a bit temperamental but other than that it seems to be good quality. Like any bee suit it can get quite hot but the fabric is breathable and not too stiff to work in. We got a 5X size to share in our family of thick-and-proud of it people. It fits my 6’ 2’ 300 pound dude well. The longer sleeves can be rolled (or even used as temporary gloves) when I’m using it myself and the extra roominess is nice and not weighty. Detachable hood works like it’s supposed to although if you are attaching and reattaching on the fly, those zippers will slow your roll a bit. I think this also comes in white which is probably nice (and bee-preferred) for anyone who does not live in Alaska like us. ... show more

The fit is good and offers good protection. I'm a little worried that the bees will sting on the back of my head since the hood falls forward, by design. However, they don't typically go for the back of the head. The jacket is light and provides a comfortable fit.
