I remove yellowjackets for a living. Wasps are absolutely vicious insects. They will stop at nothing and do everything in their power to take you down. This line of work demands gloves that can handle the bushwhacking and digging I do all day. The leather is sufficiently thick to keep all stings from reaching my hands. This includes bald faced Hornets which have very strong abdomens and long stingers. The glove sizes run a little large, medium works good for me but does loosen up a lot compared to when it was new. They do wear out around the wrist. It has a type of rubber coated fabric that breaks down from repeated bending of the wrist. 40 dollar Kelley beekeeping gloves break down just as quick though, it's not just these gloves. You won't find a better glove for the price. Thick canvas arms and the mesh section is very nice on hot days. I never got stung though it, though I wear an Oz Armor mesh suit underneath ... show more

These are excellent gloves. They are very well made, tough but too thick, and they are well ventilated. I’ve used them for working (weed whacking heavy brush) in bee and wasp habitat, and haven’t been stung. I ordered the 2xl and it fit like an xl work glove. Super gloves!

The yellow material is very weak and stretchy as far as stitching goes. It's reinforced along the top and the bottom but the seam where the material comes together is just stitched with one piece of thread very close to edge. This is weak design and a horrible price to pay for "premium gloves" that ripped as I was putting them on. This edge should be reinforced with a strip of canvas. ... show more

These seem sturdy for the price, but the fit is not great. I'm a woman with relatively small hands, so I got a small. The fingers are pretty long, and the gauntlet (directly below the hand seems very wide.
