For those who look at those lighting charts as a buying factor, keep in mind they are done in a mylar box to ensure light reflection. My photo was done 11in. off my kitchen floor. I was still pulling 1184 PPFD. Installed in my 4 x 4 tent, and at 12in. above my canopy, I have it dialed in at 1050 PPFD while only using 90% of the power. For those you use light meters to set up your grow room, you will appreciate knowing this. This light runs cooler than my previous lights, so kudos to that factor. The mobile app. to adjust lighting is a great way to dial in your grow space while keeping it enclosed and without light leakage. I upgraded from the Mars Hydro SP3000 and this brand continues to deliver on value, features and performance. ... show more

DO NOT BUY !!!! I had a Mars Hydro FC6500 in use for just about 2 years. The other day the dimmer failed. I'm no longer able to adjust the intensity. It's either almost no light at all, or the light of the sun in your face. It's taken 5 days of emails with customer service in China to tell me that I can pay $420 for a new lamp right away, or I can pay $20 and wait 2 months for them to ship me a new driver for the lamp. They asked for my personal information as well as PayPal information. It seems all too much like a scam to me. Don't buy from this company. At least buy from one that has customer service here in the USA. Will not buy from Mars Hydro Again !!! ... show more

TLDR: Bar style light allows better air flow, High Quality Samsung EVO diodes with a high ratio of red led’s. Fills my 2x2 with light perfectly. Likes: High power EVO led’s with more red led’s than most lights. Works well for flowering. Jury’s out on vegging. Bar style light allows better air flow, and a wider footprint. I’ve an 8” fan in the upper corner of my tent so this really helps with air movement and light cooling. It’s overkill for a 2x2, I do use the dimmer! I’m still experimenting with height and dimming controls. Dislikes: Dimmer is in a small crowded plastic box. Looks cheap and is prone to fail according to reviews. Driver is attached to center light bar and is nonremoveable. Fan must be aimed at driver. Provided ppfd map is useless. 1440 par @ 8” would fry my plants. Currently 20” @ 75% 18/6. On sale for $20 less than I paid for mine. Verdict: I really like it. The light coverage, efficiency. and sheer power are overkill. I’ll live with that. Though I wish the dimmer was larger and the plastic box with all the ports would go away. ... show more

I'm a big ac Infinity fan and love their products. Their lights are not it though, and neither are spider farmer. I have one light from all 3 companies now, and mars hydro is years ahead. The price to performance is so good for the FC1500. It has good light distribution and very low heat for the amount of light. Solid build. I wish more manufactures used this layout for small lights. ... show more
