This light is awesome. It fits perfectly in a 3x3 and provides very even coverage thoughout the tent. I'm a few weeks away from my first harvest with this light and my plants have not seemed to ask for any more than 75% brightness during flower. The light bars get a bit toasty when the brightness is raised up, and the ballast does get hot. The ballast being removable is very handy because of this. The hottest my tent has been with this light on is 80F, while my home was 74F. It's worth mentioning that AC Infinity's adapters DO NOT work with this this lamp very well, despite being listed as a supported model. My light would randomly turn on at night, so I just stuck it back on a timed outlet to be safe. Mars Hydro's app may work better, but judging by the 1.Something star reviews for it, I sort of doubt it. Don't let that or a lack of Samsung LEDs dissuade you from buying this lamp, especially if it's on sale. I paid about $400 and received a heat mat as well. It's currently on sale for $373 for Black Friday at the time of writing this. In my opinion, it's the best bang for your buck, especially in a 3x3. ... show more

The light seems very sturdy and well made. The only issue I had was the dimmer. Always seems to be such a cheap switch on otherwise great lights from Mars Hydro. First light had to be exchanged for one that worked. Amazon made it right quickly though with a replacement light sent immediately. Have had this issue before on different model lights from the same manufacturer. The new driver and dimmer worked beautifully and the light can go from 0 to 100% power. Do love the low heat output, especially with the driver mounted up high in the exhaust fan air stream. Getting well over 1000 par readings at 10 inches from the canopy. Buds responded well to the new light. Looking forward to using on a full run seed to flower. Ill update the review in a few months after and show the results. Coverage is perfect for my 4x4 closet. Also, do make sure to alternate between A and B bars when assembling the light. They only have one UV led diode per bar. A and B bars have them at opposite ends for even coverage. Update #1 Light has done great in veg. Had an unexpected autoflower in the bunch as well. It’s blooming nice and dense under the light at 75% power and 18 inches below. I added a picture of the veg setup. Will give one more update after flowering. So far still absolutely a 5 star light. Last Update This light has preformed absolutely beautifully. Purchased this light in 3/2023. This new FC-E6500 was to replace my lower-wattage Vivosun lights. The FC-E6500 was very bright and had what seemed a promising future. But alas within a few months, the light died; actually it turned out to be the power supply, and the company replaced the power supply. I had several weeks of downtime without a light, and then the new power supply showed up....though this time it had different connectors. I tested the new power supply with the light, and it worked once again. So, with that said, I reinstalled the light in my growing area, and again within a few months, the light stopped working. This time the connector had a burnt prong inside, and even smelled burnt. Note, the light setup had it's own dedicated power, not commingled with other electronics. At this time I requested a full refund and was denied. Instead, they insisted on sending me a new connector, to which I responded with a hard NO, and they said they would send another FC-E6500 but it wasn't new but they denied that it was refurbished. I reverted back to my previous setup with Vivosun lights, though less wattage than the FC-E6500 but much more reliable, and without a product that has potential fire hazard being an issue. At this time I have requested a full refund as this is unacceptable. Update: As of 11/1/2023, the company issued a full refund. I refer to it as "company" as it's not clear if this is actually MARS HYDRO or a licensed retailer, who sells shotty products?? Caution advised. ... show more

    • FIXED THE PROBLEM!!!!

The media could not be loaded. I woke up to only 3 bars lit up. I went through every connection and checked other plugs. I haven't had this light for a year. I purchased this on or about the 17th of February 2023 and it's December 29th. It's a big disappointment to spend over $200 on 1 light and it doesn't last a year. When I could've went with a cheaper company and it last for at least a year. I have 2 led lights made by exlenvce that I bought 2 years ago that still works and they wasn't even half as much as the MARS HYDRO FC-E3000. BIG LET DOWN!!!! Was used for my indoors 2x4 garden tent peppers and tomatoes. UPDATE: After, writing this review amazon and there Mars Hydrop rep contacted me and fixed the problem, by replacing the led bar that went out. The light now works as advertised.
