I like this holder a LOT. This is definitely an improvement over the older non-pro version. The "leads" are a bit thicker than the previous model so lines are a little less crisp, but the sharpener is a lot better and screws into the end of the marker so you don't lose it by accident. The slim design is very helpful for marking holes in tight places for drilling, cutting, or otherwise. The advancing function also behaves like an actual mechanical pencil would, as opposed to just releasing the lead and letting it slide freely. I've mostly used the silver streak inserts with this. The others work fine and dandy but the silver marks the best on metal. These leads are a little more brittle than the thinner leads from the old version of the marker, so they seem to break slightly easier. This may be due to the increased width. I like this pencil for the fact of not having to get you razor knife out to sharpen the classic wood one. It’s been pretty dang reliable. I’ve used it every day for the past two months. Love the product, writes well and easy to use but I left it in my bag with some tools and now it’s broke. It’ll be awesome if it’s under warranty and I can get a new one

Me and all my coworkers have them after a week you can keep pushing the pen to feed the chalk, it just stops working so you have to continuously have the chalk sticking out or you need more to force it through the pencil so you can use it.

Pros: This is a good solid product for marking and can do fairly detailed work if your using it to mark metal/wood in a semi open environment. It also has multiple colors to choose from for refills(comes with 1 silver). Cons: The description for the product being able to fit into small places is not accurate or slightly misleading depending on the kind of work your doing. The reason I purchased this product and was willing to spend $22.00 plus another $12.00 for yellow refill sticks was because I needed to have something that would fit through a #6 hole for a machine screw. This does not. The metal tip is almost a 1/4 " outside to outside. The lead itself will fit through a #10 machine screw hole and if sharpened will be able to mark it semi accurately. ... show more
