So this isn’t something darker skinned people (meaning anyone with melanin🥯) can wear in the daytime. It is not sheer enough. However, it works incredibly well. I put on at night or sometimes on a weekend when I don’t have to go out. You may look a little ghostly but when you wake up you will see immediate results in texture, brightness and slowing down breakouts. Using over time at night I’ve noticed my dark spots have started to fade. Love this product line and so glad I found this! ... show more

Absolutely love this powder it's amazing! I had acne on my face when I put a light layer on and then added foundation on top, it actually got rid of the little bit of acne on my face and I have really oily skin this stuff is just amazing as I said great for oily skin I wouldn't recommend for dry skin as it will dry you out a little ... show more

Review, phase 1: Received item today. I must not have paid enough attention to the description, because it's smaller than I expected. But that's my own fault. For anyone else who might do the same thing, I'm attaching photos with other items for scale. As shown, it's about the same size as a Bare Minerals face powder. I placed an Anastasia eyebrow pomade on one side and a regular Q-tip as well to help you compare the relative size of this product. The next picture shows its slight yellow color, in comparison to the white paper towel (photo taken with flash.) I'm wondering if the color will act as a balancing effect for my skin tone, as I'm of Pacific Islander/Asian descent, as banana powder does. Guess I'll find out when I use it with makeup on. As my pictures also show, it comes with a small puff for application. Or, as I did, you can use a clean makeup brush to target blemishes versus cover a whole area. Either way works, and you don't need to buy a separate puff. Since I just got it today, I'll have to come back to update this review in a few days to let you know how it works for helping to reduce adult (although not cystic) acne. Oh, I should add that I also purchased a sulfur/salicylic acid bar soap to use before this product, in tandem with Thayer's Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera (I'm tired of breaking out!) and 98% pure aloe vera leaf juice gelly from Pharm-Aloe (I'm seriously tired of it!) as moisturizer. Obviously, I'm going more natural, trying to use less chemicals on my skin. Hopefully this all helps, once and for all. If it does, I'll let you know. Wish me luck! *Update* Well... d@%n! It's only been a few days of using this product and already there's a noticeable improvement. Now, I've had the past 4 days off from work due to a kidney infection, so I haven't had to put on any makeup. I've made sure to wash my face at least once a day with The Body Shop's Tea Tree face soap, followed by Thayer's Witch Hazel with Aloe Vera toner, and a serum with hyaluronic acid & vitamin, and a few pats of 98% Pure Aloe Vera Leaf Juice Gelly as a light moisturizer. While my skin is still slightly damp, I use the little puff to pat a light dusting of this sulfur powder on my acne trouble spots, namely along my jaw and lower cheeks. I know, that sounds like a lot. But, if you do the research, you'll find that's the correct order to a good face cleaning routine. Wash, toner, serum, moisturizer. I've simply added this product on at the end. And it's made a difference! The outbreaks I had are almost completely gone. And just one new spot, that is much smaller, popped up but it's already going away too. It's been 4 days!!! And those 4 days have been full of stress, worry, a serious lack of sleep, and no small amount of pain. Typically, I'd be all kinds of broken out!!! I'll continue to update this review over the next few weeks. *Update*: I still use sulfur powder and continue to see an improvement in my skin, however... I found much better priced options here on Amazon. Just type "sulfur powder" in the search box, and you'll see. Granted, prices fluctuate, but just look for one that describes it as a very fine, 99% (or higher) pure sulfur powder. I found a listing for 1 lb - a whole pound!! - for $9.99. Since I started mixing it into my mineral face powder for days when I wear makeup, I was thrilled to find such a good price, and it works every bit as good as this one does. ... show more

This product is best used as a medication or as a "prep" product on clean, dry skin. I purchased this and the "Buffering lotion" to use in combo for a heinous cystic acne breakout that started in September and has resisted every treatment known to man. It's so bad that I've sat with masks and peels and treatments for hours hoping to alleviate just a little of the inflammation or spreading of the breakout. After months of enduring this never-ending breakout, I purchased this powder to use with the Buffering lotion and the two combined started clearing my breakout in 2 days! After about 5 days of using both... all but 2 of the cysts are just dry, tiny bumps and the others are gone with just some redness remaining. I cannot believe how fast this worked and how gentle the formula is. The powder isn't nearly as effective as the Buffering lotion, but it has its own virtues. I use the poof and put it all over my face (except your eyes) and layer extra over actual breakouts. Then I use my fingers and actually rub it into my skin until it disappears. After that you can apply your moisturizer and/or make up without a problem and let it work as a base layer. At night I do the same ritual, except I apply the Buffering lotion right after the powder and rub them both in as well as possible. I wait a bit and then apply my nighttime moisturizer and you're done! You can use this with make up as a setting powder, as well. This helps control oil and makes pores/skin look cleaner and more even toned with or without make up. The yellow tone reduces the redness and the powder treats and absorbs without drying out your skin. There is virtually no scent unlike most sulfur-products and can be worn daily to treat acne and oil invisibly, so I'm very pleased. The powder is a little hard to dispense and the poof has no ribbon (handle) so you tend to fumble to get the poof out without getting too much or making a mess. I'd also prefer this be a talc-free formula as its unhealthy to breathe and if you accidentally get this in your nose or down your throat, it's irritating, so be careful to use it in a ventilated area or turn your bathroom fan on. Definitely give this a try because the fact that it helps breakouts and oil invisibly is something most other acne products can't claim. And the price is extremely reasonable, too. ***The first photo shows me with FULL make up attempting to cover up the heinous chin and mouth break-out (ie: base, concealer, foundation, and powder). Even with maximum coverage and a forgiving photo, you can see the lumps and bumps. The second photo is recent and you can see that those lumps and bumps are gone with just a BB Cream as my coverage. The second photo is updated after continued use as of March 2017. (Yes, my haircolor is VERY different....I switched from platinum blonde back to brunette between my original review and this update. But they are both photos of me from December 2016 to March 2017).**** ... show more
