    • If you have body acne it is definitely worth a shot

I've had issues with bacne since puberty and would say I have normal/acne prone skin. I'm 22 and I've tried many things to help with my acne but never really had any results. I have to emphasize that anyone using this product should be aware that there is fragrance and that it should be used carefully. If you have sensitive skin, you may or may not want to avoid this - however, since the product is a wash-away product it may be okay. I do not have a before/after picture because nothing ever worked for my back and I was skeptical. Now I regret that. After using for the first time, I had some mild dryness and itching on my back. This wasn't anything too bad and easily solved using my CeraVe moisturizer. For the next few weeks I had little to no dryness on my back. That being said, I used this product two to three times a week in the shower using a back loofah and made sure to moisturize. Every other shower, I would wash my body with Dove sensitive skin body wash. Now that my skin seems to be well-adjusted to the product, I am planning to use it more often in the shower and see if my skin improves even more. As far as results go, I am extremely pleased with my skin. Not all of my acne is gone on my back but it is SIGNIFICANTLY reduced. My skin feels smooth for the first time since I was 13. I am happy and much more confident. Is this product a holy grail? Not necessarily ... but to me it has started me off on the right foot. Once I finish this bottle I do not think I will purchase another, but instead see if an AHA body lotion is better for me. I think I would have had even better results if had drunk water frequently and tried to eat more cleanly (something I meant to do but failed at!). When I first saw the ingredients list, I grimaced. These ingredients are not the best for you. Personally, I would not plan to use this long-term but I think it's worth a shot for fellow bacne sufferers. Just be careful and moisturize often. UPDATE: This stuff seriously helped my acne issue so much. After over a year of use I’m finally out of product. I wouldn’t say it’s right for everyone, but I’ve really enjoyed it. I’ve used this coupled with an aha body lotion and my back is COMPLETELY clear. If I do get a breakout, it’s a small one that is much more mild. I’m free of irritation. My back hasn’t been back to normal since puberty. I’m so glad and will definitely be continuing this or another AHA body wash in the future. ... show more

My girls like it. It has a subtle scent. It does not overpower at all. It was more money but it was gift. As for everyday use, for kids, I wouldn't spend that much. It is nice, but if you are looking for more moisture, than the norm, this isn't for you.

I get hella dead skin buildup in the summer and this helps keep everything cleared out without making me feel like I'm stripped and sensitive despite containing AHAs. I even use it as a super scalp clarifier once every few months and my hair comes out sleek and soft, as well as on my face once a week! Just to be safe I don't use it daily on areas that see the sun, so the bottle lasts a long time especially with how well the cleanser suds up. After years of searching I have found my go-to body wash. I have patches of psoriasis and sensitive skin but I hated using scent-free body washes. Well this MB botanical body wash is the answer!! It has a nice, light scent. And I love that it lathers but rinses off well. And most importantly, it never irritates my skin... Even my patches. The soap is a little pricey for the size but I usually try to stock up when different retailers have specials. If you're on the fence, try it!! ... show more

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Mario Badescu AHA Botanical Body Wash, and I have mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, I really enjoyed the smell of this body wash. It has a fresh, fruity scent that I found to be very pleasant. I also noticed that my skin felt soft and moisturized after using the product. However, I was a little disappointed that I did not see any significant improvement in the appearance of acne on my body. I was hoping that the glycolic acid and fruit enzymes in the body wash would help to clarify and gently exfoliate my skin, leading to a brighter and smoother complexion. Unfortunately, I did not notice any difference in the number or severity of acne blemishes on my body after using the product. Overall, I would say that the Mario Badescu AHA Botanical Body Wash is a decent body wash with a pleasant smell and good moisturizing properties. However, if you are specifically looking for a product to help with body acne, you may want to look elsewhere.
