This gymnast bar is well built and easy to assemble. I ordered the 5 foot base because it appeared to be more sturdy than the frame for the 6 foot base. I originally only gave it only 4 stars because It was missing the pad for the crossbar and Amazon wanted to ship me an entire package to retrieve the pad from, instead of just getting a pad from the seller. I sent the seller an email and have not heard back yet. Overall, it's a well built product; however, keep in mind when you're spending almost $300, you should consider how much a 10 year old can actually do on this thing. You can only flip over a bar so many times, so the entertainment will be short lived. I don't imagine I won't be reselling this item in a short amount of time. UPDATE! The seller was quick to respond and sent the pad for the bar. Always give five stars for great customer service! ... show more

We set up the bar easily enough. We did have some questions about what order the washers and nuts were supposed to go on, but we figured it out. When we finished setting it up my husband tested it out. The bar doesn’t wobble at all, it feels very safe, and sits solidly on the floor while my daughter flips. When we were raising the bar the first time one of the spring knobs came apart. It still functions, but not as conveniently since it has to be unscrewed rather than just pulled out. I contacted the company via email and heard back from a real person the very next day. They will be sending us a new knob. Generally pretty happy with this. Purchased for a smaller than average 9 year old competing at USAG Xcel Silver. Good for practicing glides and kips and general bar drills/conditioning. Wobbles a little for casts and hip circles or more powerful skills. Could probably be weighted down with something. Definitely want a mat to go underneath. Easily adjustable for height. ... show more

This was a gift for our 9 year old daughter. We wanted a bar that was stable and not susceptible to tipping and this unit was out choice. Instructions were easy and had no issues. It's works great. Excellent quality. Easy to adjust height. Room to grow for my tall 8 year old for sure. The included mat does the job. It slightly moves on our LV floor but I think a sandbag would do the trick.

I purchased for this bar for my 7 year old daughter who is a level 2 in compulsory gymnastics. This bar is super easy to setup and very stable. Even my teenager and I can use this bar. This bar exceeds my expectations as she can do everything on it that she does at the gym. I did not want to purchase uneven bars for home use, so this single bar is perfect. I will need to purchase sandbags/weights for the base as it slides on my carpet when she does a kip, but that is not a flaw in the design of the bar. Highly recommend purchasing this. ... show more

this was my kids BIG xmas present this year. They are 5 & 8 years old. You can see the cheap construction here it broke during use not setup. For something that's supposed to be easily put away, this is simply not true. just during use this broke. This picture was taken on Jan 31st and we setup the bar out of packing the first week of Jan.
