This home gym comes with everything but a bench, barbell, and weights. You still have to purchase those items separately but your still able to build some GAINS with this unit alone. Materials: The product weight is 137.5 pounds and made from alloy steel which is powder coated in black. The home gym ships in a two box set with a thousand parts for assembly. 😃 Follow the instruction manual and diagrams, and tighten screws and bolts when directed. Build: [Time: 2 to 3 hours] Please do your back a favor and have a family member and/or friend help you put this together. The bolts can be tighten down with a 5/8 socket wrench which will be much faster than using an adjustable wrench. Performance: Pull-ups bars. There are two separate bars which are bolted together but feel sturdy when doing both chin-ups and wide grip pull-ups. The bars hold my weight (200lbs) nicely but it definitely helps to perform the exercise using strict form without swaying. Cables. The pulley system feels more like a 1 to 1.5 weight ratio (than product description 1:1) in terms of resistance but a little WD40 or grease on the metal post should help. Metal knurl handles. The dip station supports my weight and feels nice, and sturdy (I'm 5'9 and 200lbs). I place the handle bars on the outside slotted posts but the bars can be placed within the inside depending on your preference. I experience more stability with the bars placed on the outside. Quality: The materials within this price range, have stood up under the recommended weight limits and practical use so far. However, the product will creak and sway; especially, if you do not have stored weights to offset the structure when doing lateral movements. Conclusion: I wanted a home gym primarily for doing pull-ups and dips. I was actually looking to purchase an outdoor pull-up and dip station but ended up buying this instead. I think this a great product worth buying; especially, if you want to workout from the privacy and comfort of your own home. ... show more

    • A good, sturdy power cage! I’m glad I bought it.
This was much more substantial than what I was expecting. The pull-up bar is high enough for me (5’5”) to do a true dead hang pull-up, unlike my doorway bar. The holes for safety bars and j-hooks allow good adjustments for doing squats and bench presses inside the cage. The holes are not numbered, so I’m using magnets to mark the ones I use. I may get a second set of 2x2 j-hooks for this. The adjustable dips bars are solid. The black matte cage has a great, smooth finish—good manufacturing quality. The chrome plating on some accessories has some cosmetic defects, but no sharp burrs or dings which would lead to rust. All accessories were included, including two sizes of handle for the pulldown/row. Assembly was easy; I did it myself in about three hours. The instructions were clear, and amazingly, every single bolt, washer, and carabiner was there. The hardware was shrink-wrapped on cardboard, and numbered according to the instructions. The hardware was good, high-quality steel. AIT, the ‘shipping weight’ says 86lbs; that’s the one of the two packages it ships in. I almost cancelled the order because I saw that and thought the rack would be too flimsy. I’m glad, now, that I got it! All in all, I’m very pleased with this purchase. It might not be sturdy enough for an amateur powerlifter, but if I ever get the 300 lb squat this cage is rated for, I’ll be proud enough to 1) tell everyone I know, and 2) buy Rogue cage as a celebration. ... show more

    • Nice budget cage with a few drawbacks
Its a nice cage overall. Came in 2 boxes with a scheduled delivery. Took about 2+ hours to put together, and not sure I could have done it alone, plan on having someone help hold pieces into place/etc. I did lots of research - and think in the end this was the perfect choice for me. I'm a novice lifter and just wanted a budget cage with safety features needed to life heavy alone. Pros: -Cage has the safety catch bars so you can lift heavy alone. -Pulley system surprisingly higher quality than I thought it would be. -Weight storage, while you'll see in cons it can get in the way, overall I like it and it helps my home gym look very clean and uncluttered - not needing separate plate storage racks is a huge plus.... those are usually insanely overpriced so that saves you $$$ and space. -Versatility - there's so many workouts you can do with this thing. With the pull up bar, lat pull down, and lat pull up/row features.... options for workouts are endless. This eliminates excuses. Cons: -Cage structure isn't super rigid, can't say its built like a tank. Metal is thinner than more expensive cages. But for the price i'm more than happy with overall quality, and its more than sturdy enough for a beginner like me. It is rigid laterally, so pull-ups and heavy lifts aren't a problem, its just sideways movements on the front support bar which are an issue. See next bullet for where this causes issues. -The dip bars are worthless and shouldn't even be included. The shorter front post moves around a bit if you push on it, so if you try to do dips the structure will sway/bend. It makes sense if you look at the picture, that front bar is only affixed to the bottom bar, and then once more only a foot up to the bar behind it. Needless to say it is not very horizontally rigid and shouldn't have sideways forces put on it like those dip bars. -Weight storage can get in the way of your bench. I'm able to do flat bench fine in the cage just fine but with inclined benches i'm not able to use the safety bar area because i'm too far forward to rack/re-rack the weight. Other than that I like the weight storage. I might just need to play more with having bar on inside of front post vs back post. -Foot pegs on my unit were sloppily welded straight up and down, not at an angle. :-/ cmon! ***Will update review as time goes on if anything changes. ... show more
