I purchased this kitchen carpet to replace a thicker rug that ended up being a really huge trip hazard. This rug is thinner and as of yet, not a single person has rolled or tripped on it. It's really perfect. Washes up nicely in the washing machine. I hang it dry - but says it can be tumbled on low. Honestly I purchased 1 to just try it and then went back and bought a second for backup. With the rubber like backing - it stays put. Nice, thin profile - no tripping. The rug is somewhat soft. It is on the thin side but there are definitely thinner I ones on the market that I have. The colors are fantastic! I did not have any issues with creases or ruffled edges. The rug laid down flat, I opened up the package immediately to lay it in place. Also the weather is warm now which helps. I have no slippage and it is absorbent. It wicks away fluids immediately.
