It's good quality and the flakes are pretty big. However, I found cheaper flakes at Walmart and Tractor supply co. My ducks pick at the smaller flakes but so far I haven't noticed any health issues or digestive problems with them. Overall, I think they're pretty safe and help keep smell down.

It came very compact and I was surprised by how much was actually in the package when I broke it apart. It’s super light, and it seems to me to hold the smell and moister well.
