I have handled and ordered quite a few different brands and styles of paddles in search of quality, combined with affordability and playability. I started with wooden paddles and have since had fiberglass, graphite, carbon fiber, polymer, etc. Overall, I have found these paddles to land squarely in the middle of the pack at an exceptional value. These are perfect for beginners and even intermediate-level players. The paddle has good weight to it (although you may want to add some lead tape for balance) and the surface lends towards power more than it does control, which is a good balance as you learn how to control your shots. I can easily recommend these as a great option. As you play more and with other paddles, you'll likely come back to these! ... show more

The set also includes a waterproof backpack with drawstring large enough for 4 paddles and 8 balls (it's full with that much in it). This mangrove set of 2 paddles is an exceptional deal for the price point! We are new players to the pickleball game but are really enjoying learning. These paddles seem sturdy and feel solid although they are not that heavy. I believe they will stand up well and last a long time. I like that they came with a carrying bag ( wet/dry?- a bit strange logo) and several balls. You receive all you need to begin play. Pickle ball is a fun game and this set will get you started.
