It made my scalp feel a lot better after moving to a place with really hard water. I decided on this one over the hard water pack because I knew my scalp needed it more than my hair and the hard water one talked too much about orange hair. Never use more than once a week. Love the product, although they show up with the lids not screwed on and the product leaking. So I end up with half of what I pay for. I will have to find it somewhere else or switch to a different product. It is too expensive to lose half of the product due to employees laziness. Even Walmart puts a secure tape on to avoid leaking smh. ... show more

Product itself is amazing. 4 stars because the lids on both bottles were not tight and product was all over the inside of the box. No damage to the outside or shipping box, lost product simply because the lids were not on all the way.

    • Hit RESET for your oily scalp
I decided to give this a try as somewhat of a "scalp reset" after moving to an area with extremely hard water and had noticed my hair was starting to get very dull, weighed down, and my scalp was producing so. much. oil. and getting itchier. I took all dry shampoo out of my beauty routine in case it was clogging the pores of my scalp and causing the excess sebum, and bought both a filtering shower head AND installed a water softener in our home. None of it helped. Enter Malibu C. It smells just like mouthwash (which I happen to like) without smelling medicinal. I will say that the powder treatment stings like a mother at first, especially if you have spots of inflammation on your scalp. I decided not to freak out about the burning sensation and figured it was just a necessary evil of letting it do its thing. It became less painful with each treatment, which I took as a good sign. It's been about 3 months now, and although I have yet to refill my supply of the powder packets and have simply been using the shampoo and conditioner, my hair feels so much healthier, shinier, my scalp less itchy, and, best of all, my super oily scalp is a thing of the past! I can go three full days between washes without that wet, greasy look that had been plaguing me the morning after a wash. I'm a long time Malibu C customer...first purchased Swimmer's Wellness at the YMCA in the late 80's/early 90's when my daughter was taking swim lessons and her hair was changing colors from the chlorine and getting damaged. It reversed the bad effects, and I have continued using this brand since then. Thank goodness it is being sold on the net and Amazon! I have used Swimmer's Wellness, Hard Water Wellness, Goo Gone, and now, Scalp Wellness. I love them all! All have left my hair feeling clean, no build up, and they are non-drying. I didn't know about the Scalp Wellness and had been looking for something...anything that could treat my itchy scalp. I have dyed my hair myself for years using salon dyes. Last year, I developed an itchy scalp and when I applied the dye, I could feel a sensation...kind of itchy burning. I was thinking that possibly I would need to stop dying my hair. After finding the Malibu C Scalp Wellness Shampoo and Conditioner and reading some reviews on Amazon, I decided to try it, and also got a packet of the Malibu C Pre Color Treatment. All I can say is that it has worked like magic! I used the shampoo right away. The scalp itch went away within a week! Then used the Malibu C Pre Color Treatment as directed.
