I invest A LOT in my hair in order to obtain healthy, soft hair (most of my hair products are by Oribe, and if you know Oribe, you know how much I’ve spent on my hair lol). I’ve noticed recently how my hair would air dry and still dry extremely dry and brittle feeling. In addition to buying this product, I also purchased a shower filter that helps to eliminate hard water, as I’ve concluded that the hard water MUST be the reason my hair feels so dry after every wash. And WOW. I used this remover for the 2nd time (only used half a pack this time around instead of the full pack to help preserve) and it made my hair feel back to normal again! It dried the way it should have been drying, which is soft, less frizzy looking, and just overall shiny. Haven’t felt this in a while without having to use a hair dryer. This hair mask, along with malibus hard water shampoo and conditioner are the best for making hard water hair feel healthy and soft again! A few months ago I was at the salon getting my hair cut and I was complaining to the hair dresser about my hair always feeling greasy and not lasting long without having to be washed again, she told me SHE COULD SMELL THE WELL WATER IN MY HAIR! I have hard well water and it has absolutely ruined my hair, even a softener doesn’t seem to help. I was excited to try this product as my hair needs mega help! I will say that this review and the photo is only after one treatment/packet. I did not use the Malibu shampoo or conditioner. Come time for my next salon visit (very soon) I’ll see if she think I should add the other Malibu products to my regimen. I’ll spend the money if it will keep my hair blonde. Currently this is the darkest my hair has ever been and it does not suit me at all! The product was easy to use! I poured the crystals in my hand, added about 1 ounce of water and rubbed my hands together carefully as to not loose any product. Once I put it in my hair and started massaging it in I was shocked how much it produced! I remember thinking this is great for people with long, thick hair! There will be enough for you in one packet! It was more than enough for my mid-length, fine hair. The product did not damage my hair at all. I know that is often a worry when using new product especially one that has to sit for 5 minutes. My hair felt very soft and healthy immediately after I finished all the steps. I set this product up on a subscription! If you have hair you need this product! It’s not only great for well water, hard water, and city water buildup but also for product and life buildup! You can feel and smell it working! My advice would be to either watch a video of a salon professional using it or read the directions before you use it. I moved about 2.5 years ago and have watched my hair lose health, shine, and volume. I had the most damage I had ever experienced. It turns out I extremely have hard water. I have long hair and rent so addressing the root of the issue isn't possible. I started using these packets about 2 months ago and have seen a tremendous improvement in my hair. If you have demi-permanant dye in your hair or toner, and did not use this product right before your salon visit, do not use this product until right before you go back to the salon. On the other hand, if you want to strip your color, do use this product. I went to the salon 8 days prior to using this. I did my research first. I'm actually a bit obsessive about researching so it prolongs purchasing things. I've wanted to use a clarifier for a while, since I learned about them, because I have very hard well water. This one was the winner for me. My hair is primarily bleached, with root growth of about 5 months that I get highlighted regularly to blend. Then it gets toned to different shades, depending on what I'm going for. This product, on one hand is amazing. My hair has never felt so clean. My natural hair that has grown in since fully bleaching my hair was shiny, smooth, and beautiful. What I wasn't expecting was for the rest of my hair to be completely stripped back to the bleach only. It went from a creamy chocolate (stunning blonde; I highly recommend trying that color toner) to a super light, summer blonde. After reaching out to malibu c on their Facebook page, they informed me that if I didn't use this treatment on my hair prior to getting it done, the color would sit on the mineral buildup and therefore come off with it. I greatly appreciate their feedback and learning this. I asked if they would consider putting this information in their directions or product description. They did not respond. So, while I don't leave long reviews typically, I'd like others who research products to be able to take into consideration there is a time to use Malibu C hardwater treatment, and it is not after going to the salon and paying for the hair you want, it is before. I will continue to use this product because it is amazing, albeit at the right time. I gave it 3 stars for the misleading information which caused me to wash $$$ down the drain but the treatment itself is 5 stars. ... show more
