Description

Use the SL5 Snap Lock Punch to create tabs for locking vinyl plastic skirting and siding to finishing trim. Punch raises a high projection to compensate for natural relaxation of vinyl plastic. It also works well on aluminum siding but is not recommended for steel. NOTE: The SL5 should not be used when PERMATABS are required to snap into finished trim. For this application we recommend using the Malco SL1R or SL2R Snap Lock Punch. PERMATABS is a trademark of C & H Enterprises. Not Recommended for use below 32 degree F (0 degree C). From the Manufacturer Makes tabs in vinyl skirting or cut edge of siding to lock into utility trim. High tab projection compensates for natural relaxation of vinyl plastic. Spring return handles with vinyl cushioned grips offer comfort and ease of operation.

  • Hecho en AMERICA!!
Worked perfectly for punching lock tabs in the last piece of vinyl siding. I personally seek out Made in America products and don't fall for that fine print "mostly america" or "global materials" lol. This is American made and did not dissapoint! Have since purchased many more Malco tools and love them all just as much. ... show more

  • Good Quality for the price
Worked as expected.

  • Don’t seat the siding all the way into the plier
Did what I needed it to. After using it for the first time I figured out not to seat the siding all the way into the plier as that increases the chance the notches are visible

  • Works as expected
Got this to fix an improperly installed section of siding at the top of the wall. Very sturdy, easy to use and creates the tabs as promised.

  • Works well!
Works great and keeps the siding locked in place.

  • Did exactly what it needed to
You can't go wrong with this tool. It just punched numerous holes into the top siding piece that kept falling out. Looking forward to not having to get on the roof to put this siding piece back on. Now I'll have to pull the others to make sure they stay in.

  • Works like it stated - striaght notches
Product works exactly like it should, for problems. Used notching the top of siding with small staight groves. Someone makes a V notch that I have used before and I like the cut - better ^^^^^^^^^

  • Nice tool.
Although I have not used it as much as I thought I would, the tool worked as intended and was easy to use. I probably wouldn’t buy one again simply because I really have had no use for it and I’m over halfway through with my project.
