While this comes encased in Styrofoam, there is no protection inside the makeup case from one panel to the next, and it arrived with one of the blush powders cracked and covering many of the other powder cakes. I spent at least 20 minutes cleaning up the blush mess all over my counter as well as all of the individual powders so I can use them without the pink-tinted addition. I ended up losing a couple of applications of eye shadow with the ones I had to clean up (see photos), and a lot of the glitter creams as it was impossible to clean them up without a lot of loss. With all of that said, it’s actually a pretty decent value at $25. A HUGE THANK YOU to the reviewer who pointed out that the lip panel is inside the lid! I couldn’t imagine why they would choose to include such a tiny, worthless mirror and it turns out most of the lid is a relatively large mirror. I can’t imagine using it myself – especially if larger mirrors are available – but at least it’s there and available in a crunch. Some shadows are more pigmented than others and it was fun to play. The mascara is acceptable but not waterproof. There are many choices for face powders and quite a few shades of lip stuff, but all of the lip stuff, whether in the panel or the tube – there just isn’t much for pigment. It shows up on the lips ever-so-slightly, and there is little difference in color once applied. The tube is a gloss. The ones in the panel are a tint. You won’t get the coverage shown in the manufacturer’s photo, which is very disappointing. While I knew this when I placed my order, I want to mention that this kit doesn’t come with any eyeliner so you may want to order some in addition to this kit. This would make a great gift for the teen-aged girls in your life. If I had received this when I was a teen, I would have been ecstatic. It’s also great for learning what you’ll likely purchase instead as an adult with a paycheck. ... show more
