Ordered this. I put it together pretty quick. Get a battery powered impact and a wrench. It took about an hour. Cable system is smooth and can lift heavy weights no problem. I put the max weight on and no issues. The smith bar is a little narrow so its not like the heavy duty ones at the gym. But still no issues doing incline or shoulder press. Squats are good and smooth with heavier weights. Over all it could be a bit wider and a little taller for the pull up bar and the cable to pull down. But it works fine and you can adjust. I would recommend putting it on a platform about a foot tall. This way the bench and the weight catch if you fail line up. Overall good product for the money. Great home gym set up. When I received it shipping had bent a holder of a pulley and broke the pulley. They shipped out a new part with in a few days. Got it put together and worked great ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This machine is absolutely amazing. Setup was not as complicated as one would think. I took my time to read over all the direction and it took me around 2 hrs to assemble it by myself. Having a drill with a socket bit helps tremendously. The basic tools that come with anything that needs to be assembled are usually pretty useless. Now let's get started with the actual functions of this smith machine. From bench pressing with the bar it comes with to using the cables and all the extra attachments this machine comes with. You can literally cancel your gym membership. The pullies are smooth and feel very well built. The machine is very heavy duty. The 1 thing I have to complain about is just the fact that I took so long and my own procrastinating on purchasing this machine. I really don't know how to write reviews but I'm truly being genuine in this one. This smith machine is great and worth every single $$$. You can bench press. You can squat. You can do any cable work out you think of. The cables can be adjusted to any height you need. You can do dips with the attachments it comes with. You can do pull ups. You can do rows. It even comes with a landmine attachment. I'm all the way excited about this smith machine. GAME CHANGING FOR THE HOME GYM!!!! I’ve been in the market for a power rack for about four years now and couldn’t decide, so I kept putting off purchasing one. I wanted something with the Smith machine bar, the cable crossover system, and the ability to do a free-weight bench press or squats. The Major Lutie SML01 checked all of the boxes. One big issue for me was ceiling clearance (85”) in my basement. This machine fits perfectly. It’s a close fit, but I’m so happy to finally have a quality power rack for my home gym. One word of advice is to lay out all the parts before assembling this rack. My rack arrived in a few boxes, and several items were loosely moving around inside. Thankfully, everything was accounted for, and I was able to fully assemble the rack in about 2 hours. Also, the video shown in the product listing was excellent guidance when the paper instructions became vague in some steps. So far, I’ve had the Smith bar loaded with heavy weight and zero issues. I’ve also tested the free-weight hooks and the safety spotters with some heavy weight (as shown in the video and pic), and they seem pretty durable. An extra bonus was that you get excellent attachments included, such as the J-Hooks, Dip Bars, T-bar, LAT Bar attachment, and hand cables with revolving grip. Overall, I am happy I stumbled across this fantastic piece of equipment because it had everything I was looking for: great value, durability, functionality, and, most importantly, excellent quality. So I purchased the Major Lutie Smith machine about a month & half ago. This is my set up right now. Plan on expanding in future. I use it as well as my teenage sons and wife. We are all happy with it and it gets used everyday at least once. It was easy to assemble with a small ratchet set and a Cresent wrench. Took a few hrs 3 or 4. There is an online assembly video and they send a booklet with it. Everything was shipped there and have not needed to contact customer service about anything. Me & the boys have been putting some decent weights 100, 200 & 300 pounds of weights on bars and its holding up well. Plenty of ways to use it and work all the different muscle groups. I greased the poles and check nuts & bolts periodically. Like anything else take good care of it and it will last. Its not gym professional equipment but then again that stuff costs at least $5,000+ more too. So this is definitely worth the price in my eyes. I would buy again. Comes in 4 boxes and not at the same time… so I was concerned at first. They made it here just a few days apart. Easy to assemble. Instructions are small so you may need reading glasses, even my 16 year old had trouble with the tiny print. But took us about 3-4 hours to complete. Works great. Looks fantastic! ... show more
