I love this perfect size purse. It is true the middle separator is only a piece of material and less helpful than useful. I might cut it out. Beautiful material although for a crossbody the material for the handle could be wider. I still love it.

I loved everything about this bag. In fact I have all of the Maison de Hermine Toile bags from this large red tote to the same one in Blue toile and a smaller handbag size in Blue. I also have a floral- in blue print and I’ve used these bags exclusively. I think they have plenty of pockets and are comparable in quality and design maybe even more print designs that o love for myself than the Vera Bradley ones I own. I only have 4 of VB bags mostly as die to cost. They are considerably more costly than this brand but not any better in quality from my experience. I sincerely hope Maison de Hermine continues comes out with more prints in their handbag/tote line as I’m so thankful I found them! I have several of their dining linens too but I’m especially pleased with their bags. This came on time wrapped accordingly very well and Connor say enough good praise! ... show more

Pros: I bought this to use as an everyday purse for errands and such. It’s big enough to use as a market bag for produce or on other shopping trips when I don’t want to carry around several shopping bags. I start a new job soon, and I wanted to be able to carry a bag for my wallet and personal items, plus a lunch bag, a light jacket, water bottle, iPad, book, and/or notebook. I love being able to carry my stuff in one, all-purpose bag, and this certainly makes that possible. I would imagine it would be great to use for the gym, school, on picnics, etc. because it holds so much. It’s also feels sturdy and the design is pretty. There are two very large zippered pockets inside, and while I’m not sure I personally have a use for them, I think others would appreciate them. I like the magnet closure because I hate messing with zippers and prefer just one big open compartment. Cons: If the bag were about 2-3” shorter, it would be about perfect. As it is, if I hold the straps in my hand, the bag skims the ground (I’m 5’2”), but the straps are a good length for wearing on my shoulder, so it’s the bag itself that’s just a little larger than I’d like. The webbing on the straps makes it a little uncomfortable on my shoulder because the straps slide a bit. I’d hoped to get one of the designs where the straps appear to be the same fabric as the bag part, but the one I wanted was out of stock. I think that would give me the flexibility I’d prefer on my shoulder. There are also no outside pockets at all, which I knew before ordering, but it seems odd not having a little pocket for keys, and there’s no loop toward the top of the bag that I could hook my keys onto either, so I’ll be digging in the bottom of a pile of stuff every time, which I know will be annoying. The quality and style of this bag really make it attractive, and it’s hard to find a stylish but functional tote bag—I know because I looked for ages before settling on this—so overall, I do like it and would recommend it for anyone who wants to carry around a ton of stuff and look good doing it. ... show more
