I bought this cabinet in the temple room of the house. The cabinet is amazing, good quality, sturdy inner cabinets and looks amazingly esthetic. I would recommend only hard surface as it might get wobbly on carpet without heavy things in the cabinet. Overall, I will give 5 stars for the product. This cabinet is gorgeous because of the ‘feathered” doors but the quality is not great. We had some issues putting it together because of cheap parts but we tweaked some things in order for both does to shut and stay closed. (We had to put the little felt furniture protectors double stacked and screwed them underneath the metal latch on the top of both doors that sticks to the magnet part on the cabinet.) I’m giving this 4 stars because it is beautiful and because it serves the purpose I intended it for- holding shoes at the front entryway of the house. ... show more

It looks so elegant and meet my expectations. Make sure read the instructions carefully before starting put it on. It took me 2 hr to complete the installation project because I didn’t pay attention on front and back side door and need to redo.

1. Opened the box and the whole thing has a strong chemical smell, almost toxic smelling, I left it out for a week and it didn’t go away at all. 2. Took about 3 hours to assemble (and I’ve assembled a lot of furniture over the years), and the parts are cheap, the screw broke off into the hinge and all I used was a screw driver. 3. The cabinet is not painted it’s powdered coating. So when you touch it white powder comes off on your hands. At first I thought it was just dirty, so I used a light damp rag to wipe it, in doing so it just stripped the color off of it. I ended up just getting the rag wet and wiped all the powder off the cabinet inside and out, took about 5 min. The only parts that were painted were the back, the inside shelf and the bottom underneath. I left the doors alone. After that the chemical smell was gone. 4. The cabinet material seemed sturdy enough and I had some white paint with primer leftover from a room I painted, so I then had to paint the entire cabinet inside and out. Took about a day to dry. 5. I initially wanted to return it but couldn’t since the box was damaged from shipping, and even though I’m a prime member I would have had to pay for return shipping, annoying. 6. Overall it’s fairly sturdy even though the cabinet doors don’t line up properly and needed some tweaking. This project wasn’t hard but tedious. And not what I was looking for in a piece of furniture. ... show more

This is a decent cabinet for the money. The quality and construction is comparable to that of Home Goods or maybe Pier 1. I wish the shelf was rated for more than 20 pounds, but whatever. The real issue is that it arrived damaged. The damage must have occurred before it was packaged at the factory, because the outer and inner packaging was perfect when it arrived to me. The damage (pictured) is in a place where it can't be seen until you open the doors, so I'll probably just put up with it, but this is really irritating, and totally unacceptable for anything new straight out of the box. If not for this issue it would have been 5 stars considering the price. The carving and the color, a mix of off white and silver, of the doors is great. Assembly was straight forward to the instructions and took between 30 and 40 minutes. ... show more
