This golf cart phone holder is made of aluminum and has a nice quality feel to it. It looks like it's well-made. The design is simple. Just turn the thumb screw to open or close the clamp. The clamp opens to almost four inches wide, so it should be able to hold most phones. The clamp has silicone pads to keep the phone from slipping out and to prevent any scratches or damage to the sides of the phone. The magnet feels strong and it should hold as long as you find a large enough metal surface to attach it to. If you have a clip or stand attached to the rear of your phone, it will likely interfere with the use of this phone holder. Since the side tabs of the clamp are in a fixed position, you need to be aware of any of your phone's side buttons that could be depressed when you tighten the clamp. Since there are not any holding tabs at the bottom, if you don't tighten the clamp enough, it is possible for the phone to slide down and out of the holder. Of course, you could avoid this potential problem by attaching the phone holder to the cart sideways (landscape position) and making sure to properly tighten the clamp. ... show more

This thing is nice. Well machined and finished. The clamp turns nicely. Very high quality. Only down side is, for my mini iPhone, the clamp lands right where the buttons on the phone are. I have to adjust the phone higher into the clamp. The magnet is very strong, and will secure the phone to the golf cart. This is perfect for courses that don't have GPS in the cart. I can secure my phone to the cart with an app and it's just like a course supplied monitor. Highly recommend. ... show more

Great hold and will keep your phone safe. I have another version of this product and i like how compact this is versus my old version. Comes in a protective case, and has an extremely strong magnet that attaches and stays on the cart.
