    • Magnetic radiation: Any health risk with these tiles?

This magnetic tile set is an improvement of other normal sets, as it includes construction road themes. What I want to talk about here is the safety issue of magnetic files, but not the swallow problem, which has been discussed before. Rather, my concern is the magnetic radiation. For that purpose, I ordered an electromagnetic radiation tester (eoteck WT3211). Its alarm threshold value for the magnetic field is 0.4uT/4mG. In order to get a reading, I need to put the tester on the tiles or very close to get a VPP reading, with red alarm warning, from about 5 to 20mG, depending on the numbers of stacking pieces and orientations, while I cannot get any AVG reading with red alarm warning, or just flashing red alarm warning for a few seconds. In a list from a USA Environmental Agency for danger zones, source (mG up to 4 inches), Blender 50-220, Coffee maker 6-29, computer 4-20, hairdryer 60-20,000, television 5-100 (numbers for large appliances excluded). I guess that the numbers will be different when the source is touched by hand. For kids playing these magnetic files, the magnetic radiations they get might be in the low end of the danger zones, or it is insignificant. What would be the health risk, if there is any. Boy or girls alike, it seems like everybody love the construction tile sets! We have one other construction set in our collection, and to be completely honest if the boxes weren't different when we opened them, I wouldn't even know they weren't identical. The parts are well made and the magnets are strong, one issue and thing I know is going to break is the actually crane, which is a little bit flimsy in how it's attached. Both sets have the same issue and I wouldn't take a star away for it since it's help up for a couple weeks now, but I am expecting that to snap sooner or later. The construction theme is fun for kids, the tiles are colorful and smooth, some with stickers. Kids can use their imaginations and build anything they want. One day, it can be a construction site. The next day, they can rebuild it and it's the truck stop. I love toys that engage their minds, develop their ability to solve problems and help with fine motor skills. These are rather pricey compared to similar sets, but there's currently a coupon offer of a 20% discount that can be applied. I'd still much rather spend this on toys that have educational value like these do, rather than the toys that teach nothing and end up in the trash in a few days.
