UPDATE: It's been 7 months since I got this and I'm still thrilled with it. It's gotten a bit faded from the sun beating down on it and I ended up using a staple gun to attach it more securely to the house, but it's still working great. One of the magnets fell out of the bottom, but I can easily sew it back in (non-sewers could probably use super glue). It has taken so much abuse, between the hot midwest sun to the sub-freezing temps and three German Shepherds racing through it multiple times a day. I still highly recommend this for anyone wanting to keep bugs out of their house. It's such a practical alternative to a sliding screen door. I'd like to always have a screen door like this. I will probably replace it with a new one next spring, but I'm so pleased with the quality and ease of use. It's definitely worth it! ___________________________ I got this because the dogs love spending time outside, but now that it’s warming up, bugs will start trying to get inside. I just got this today, but so far, it’s done exactly what I want - lets the dogs freely go in & out & keeps sealed so bugs can’t get in. It was very simple to install. I just used the tacks & stuck them in a few key places. I started by holding it up to get it aligned & placed the top center tack. It’s a little tough getting the tacks through the edge because it’s reinforced really well, so if you’re doing this method. It’s probably easiest to push the tacks through first. I did the top sides next, then worked down the side to the bottom making sure the center could still close. I got a couple in the bottom sides & it was solid. I was able to push the tacks in a bit, but used a hammer to finish the job. They’re pretty sturdy tacks. We’ve got 3 German Shepherds and they were able to get in & our pretty easily & the screen closed pretty nicely behind them. I walked in & out several times carrying things and it didn’t get tugged too much & sealed after I’d walked through. We may even try replacing our sliding screen with this so we can open & close it. This was exactly what I wanted, it’s working wonderfully so far and I couldn’t be more pleased with it! ... show more

I highly recommend buying this if your looking to buy a screen. My corgi loves to hang out on the patio but I hate bugs. This has been the perfect fix for us. Hardly noticable and the magnets seal automatically, no issues. I am happy how it looks and had no issues. Took a few minutes to setup, worth it! ... show more

We’ve had this product for a few weeks, and I’m so glad we got it after going back and forth about if it would actually work. It does. It keeps all the bugs out so far. It’s been a great solution for the dog getting out on his own and for having fresh air when we don’t have window screens. A couple things to note, which is why it’s not a perfect 5 stars: -Our door is magnetic, and sometimes the magnets stick to the door when they swing back to close, instead of sticking to the other side of the screen. -It almost always closes correctly when the dog goes out, but it doesn’t always close correctly when the dog comes back in. We just tap the bottom of the screen with our foot. It sways and then closes correctly. Easy fix, but requires us to go over and do it. -Install was easy but fussy. The tacks worked fine, but they bend easily. We just used pliers to straighten them out. It was also hard to get the screen straight. We just made sure the most visible side looked good and the other side had a more creative install. It looks loose at the bottom, but it won’t close when nailed in tighter. I purchase these every few for my French doors and windows, they are easy to install and word very well, they get allot of use and last with heavy use 2-3 years . I 100% recommend this screen! They keep bugs out yet my Pets , my dog and cat both know they can walk thru the middle and they close magnetically behind them ! My dog will run full speed out the door to the back yard and it works as designed , dog goes out -bugs stay out , my cat actually will slide underneath at the bottom after using her paw to dislodge magnet, if you are using a screen to keep pet or toddlers inside , I would not recommend, but if you want fresh air and easy access to you outdoors , this is a treasure that you will love! Quality is high, stays in place, durability is strong, ascetically looks great -black gives a fine appearance much better than a typical screen. Heavy mesh holds up to usage. ... show more

Bought 2 of there at different times. The first one came with metal push pins, second came with plastic capped push pins. The first one was easy to install, while the second one was very difficult to put in. The second one ended up having multiple pin caps break on me when i was trying to install, causing a couple punctures/cuts to my thumb. If you order this item and it comes with the plastic capped pins, id say return it. If it comes with metal ones then you will not be disappointed. ... show more

This is a great product for the price. I wanted a white screen to blend in with my home's aesthetics, so I decided on this one. It's well-made, the magnets are strong, and it's easy-peasy to install. It is self-closing but ensure you "fit" the screen properly so not to pull, etc. That will cause the magnets not to "lock" together properly.
